Fraser House

My daughter and I loved this Bed and Breakfast hotel. We had a wonderful, quiet, spacious room and bathroom overlooking the river with a picturesque view of Inverness. The beds are comfy too. Leah, our host, is very attentive and kind. The room was equipped with coffee, tea and a few snacks. The breakfast made the day. (Yummy, fresh high quality food- full Scottish breakfast.) In addition to a pre-ordered hot breakfast, there are also cereals, yogurt, fruit and other continental choices. Fraser house is a short walk to stores, shops, the train and bus station etc. The location is beautiful and safe. If anything this place is underpriced. We will be back.

Everything about Fraser House was impeccable - the location, the house, the amenities, the food, and Leah herself. My vegetarian breakfast was so good that my two travel mates, who are not vegetarian, ordered it the next day. We had a view of the water from our room. It was a quick and beautiful walk to the city center.

Highly recommend staying at Fraser House. Everything was top notch from beginning to end. Excellent communication throughout. Leah goes out of her way to accommodate and has a great knack for making recommendations suitable for all guest interests. She provides you with a parking pass which is rare. The rooms were very clean and had great views across the river. The homemade breakfasts were delicious so be sure to bring some cash if you haven’t prepaid at booking. It is well worth it and not to much to ask!

Leah is just a delight - she is enthusiastic and seemed genuinely happy to be hosting us. Her breakfasts are delicious and her recommendations for local restaurants and jolly things to do were flawless. We left genuinely feeling like friends who had been visiting.

We stayed 2 nights in May and were very happy. Wonderful location on the river and easy walk to all Inverness has to offer. Our host was very friendly and helpful - especially with providing a car parking space for us. Much appreciated. I recommend highly.

Leah was responsive and accommodating. We emailed her with questions, and she got right back to us. She had no issue with our having to leave earlier on the last day of our stay and offered to let us eat a bit earlier. She was generous with suggestions for places to eat and things to do as well. Breakfasts were fantastic. Lovely choices, pleasant dining room, and all cooked to perfection. Especially loved the black pudding. Room was spotless and bright. Excellent location, too. No more than a fifteen-minute walk from the station and right on the river. It more than met our needs. She made us feel welcome.

The Fraser House is a small B&B on the shores of River Ness near downtown Inverness. All rooms have a view of the river. I stayed in a family room which featured openable windows on opposite walls, allowing a nice breeze through the room. Everything was clean and neat. Leah, the fashionable inn keeper and owner of the house, was very kind, pleasant and helpful. The establishment exuded a comfortable, professional atmosphere. The location is excellent, about a block from a pedestrian bridge leading across the river to downtown Inverness which is full of restaurants, pubs and shops. I hauled my suitcase to the Fraser House from the train station with no problem. A note for Americans: Do not expect European lodging to provide wash clothes, towels are all one can hope for and the Fraser House provided plenty. The breakfast was quite good, with both hot and cold options. The hot option was cooked to order. Being a small operation, one should not count on the property being staffed 24/7. I arrived several hours before check-in and was lucky to find Leah at the property and able to check me in. If she had been out, I'm not sure what I would have done with my luggage. If you will be arriving at an odd time, I recommend making arrangements with Leah before your arrival, something I should have done. Thank you Leah for accommodating my unexpected arrival so graciously!

I would give Fraserhouse 5/5 just stayed from the 9th of June till the 12th of June was lovely and peaceful, leah was a good host the breakfast was excellent especially the scrambled eggs and toast I received, the room was clean as well only a 5 minute walk to the town centre nice definitely going back there next year for a longer stay.

We spent three nights at the Fraser House before going off to the Orkney Islands. It is a wonderful small bed and breakfast and the host ,Leah, is very personable. We had room #6 with two double beds and a view across the River Ness. The winding staircase to the third floor is narrow but definitely worth it. We would definitely stay here if we ever find ourselves in Inverness again
