Hotels near Ipoh Airport, Ipoh

Enroute to Penang, we stopped by Ipoh for rest and a quick foodie run. The private indoor parking was good and there are plenty of parking outdoors in case it’s full. Check in was confusing because the reception said our booking did not include breakfast, so we spent next 10min to sort it out after showing evidence of booking details. Room was large, clean, well configured, AC strong and lighting thoughtfully laid out. They even provided bedroom slippers, which is a nice little touch. We had a room with a view of the nearby mountain and outdoor car park. There was also a simple complimentary afternoon tea right after we checked in. There is a sundry store, clinic, dentist and several restaurants within walking distance so it was very convenient. We happenstance found a very nice seafood restaurant within 10min walk, so that was a good find! Breakfast was reasonable and the restaurant staff there were helpful.

Had a pleasant stay. Anyway this hotel need some refurbishment. Its an old hotel of course bit worn out here and there. Ants everywhere especially on the table. Above all its a decent hotel.

Parking are convenient with just a few step to Hotel main entrance. Great welcoming from front desk. Thanks to Christin Loh for time showing us the wonderful art on the lobby area. Few picture taken by us and family especially at one of the art with Harimau design wall. Enter the room with neat bed made up and clean environment. Warm and cozy design with black wall but brighten by light in the room. Entire one night stay was not enough will definitely came again for the next visit to Ipoh. Thanks Christin and Team.

The Weil Hotel in Ipoh offers a convenient stay with its central location next to Ipoh Parade mall. The rooms are modern, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety. Staff were friendly and helpful, making the check-in and check-out process smooth. Overall, it’s a great option for exploring Ipoh

Centrally located and clean hotel. It was value for money. Receptionist was friendly and helpful. I was there with 4 friends and we really got to know Batu Gajah and it’s surrounding towns. Mr. Yip the hotel owner took us to the places of interest in his Toyota Estima and he was so knowledgeable. Had it not for his hospitality and kindness to ferry us all over and even to savour some of the famous local delicacies we would not have had such a great and enjoyable trip. Thank you very much Mr. Yip!

Consider the best hotel in Kampar. The room is clean and the breakfast is good though not much choice. Free parking available and receptionist service is excellent. Only downside is the price is on the high side compared to other hotels.

Service:- I rode in from the rain ＞ asked for early check-in ＞ Receptionist called me a 115pm to let me know room was ready. Managed to keep my stuff with bellboy whilst I went out to find breakfast and wait for room check-in Bellboy helped bring my stuff to the room. 200RM deposit was returned to me in denominations of 50, when I had used 2 x 100RM notes ＞ I requested for this back and receptionist had to get manager approval before returning 2 x 100RM to me. Can borrow umbrella from lobby if it's raining. Facilties: Bathtub is kids size, not adult size. no massage services. Carpark ＞ no motorbike parking lots. Parking: I ended up parking my Ducati Diavel Carbon, FBL 747S, in basement carpark cos security guard did not let me park outside lobby. (Even though Ducati Club Singapore managed to park there in May 2024 as well as open carpark lots below) However later in the day, Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, FBG 38G, was allowed to park there. Security guard said rider is from Kings Motorcycle Club ＞ I told security guard that Kings MC only rides harleys. Security guard then says rider is VIP, and his boss approved the parking. I questioned the receptionist ＞ they referred me to security ＞ I told receptionist what security said and receptionist could not do anything. The rider left the next morning; I was having breakfast at the outdoor seating, could hear him start the bike, let the bike warm up, before riding off. (so ”noise” is not a valid reason for not parking there) I came back to my motorbike to find it covered in dust and fluff, cos it was 7m away from the laundromat (I parked here cos there was another motorbike here and there are no motorbike lots in the basement carpark) The whole reason for parking somewhere visible and in line of sight of Security, is for the security of the motorycycle. (There is a notice in the basement carpark that states parking at carpark is responsibility of owner, not the premises) Breakfast: good spread and variety.

Overall, it’s a very good experience to bring my family here. We booked a duplex room, kids like it very much. The first floor is a sofa bed with a washroom and shower. And a balcony. The second floor has a king size bed, wash room with a bath and shower. The furniture is very comfortable. The location is also not bad and convenient. Window view is a public plaza outside. Shops and restaurants are walking distance. The only issue is our booking is 4 adults breakfast included. We have 3 adults and 2 kids. One 11 and one 6. But we still need to pay 1 breakfast for one kid, with limited selection of the breakfast.

We took a room that wasn’t that clean and had few problems. The staff was so friendly & helpful that they showed us multiple other rooms to choose from and eventually upgraded our room type without extra fees. The hotel has an amazing view, and is well-located near many attractions. The room was spacious and clean but there were ants and few other insects that come from the windows due to the surrounding environment. What I didn’t like about the place is the restaurant; I didn’t like the food at all but maybe it was just me. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Copthorne Hotel. It was one of the best places we stayed at during our visit to Malaysia. And I’d definitely recommend it.

i would say this hotel has so much potential to become a great hotel, from a mediocre hotel it is now. The location is perfect.. within the vicinity of the famous Taiping Lake Garden but towards Bukit Larut. Though it is bit out of the main road, it is still good reach by vehicles. Or if u stay without vehicle, u still can call for Grab for food. etc. I saw an archery field at the back of the hotel. And i know, nearly there is a waterfall area. In front of this property, there is another equally interesting looking accommodation called Kamal Lodge that i can clearly see from my room Room 204. My room, though a Standard Room, was adequately furnished, though the aircond was OK OK only prolly because they use 1hp aircond, for a relatively big room. The towel though clean, was already old and time to change it. Breakfast was additional RM25 though i didnt take it, but i saw the restaurant was big and welcoming. The lobby i thnk, can be further improved. Prolly, u guys can provide bicycle renting service etc to the guest. Maybe they have, i didnt asked. I just wish the lobby and the lift have more soft touch to make the guest more..welcomed? But the lobby staffs were courteous and friendly and accommodating as i need to borrow their phone charger for a while. some newer hotel stayed already have the USB plug in the room though. anyway, i still want to recommend this place for families..as their pool look interesting for kids..though the water looked bit murky. and the big room of course. But ya i want to come back in the future to check on their progress!
