Hotels near Perak IT Mall, Ipoh

We booked 2 deluxe rooms from the hotel website for 1 night. It cost only RM150/night. Located at Meru, nearby Jelapang (Ipoh North) a new township. Hotel is owned by the State Government. Pros: - Value for money - Adequate room space - Modern amenities & fittings in the room - Package include drive thru movie for guests - Night vibes outside : Roundabout - Still considered new & well maintained -Staff are attentive - Lot of parking space but shared with the convention centre. Please note the parking space are open. Cons: - Location - not in central Ipoh where all the vibes - 10-15 mins drive to town or Ipoh Garden /Bercham / Tambun - No facilities - swimming pool The room package comes with breakfast which you have to pre-select from the choices available.

We are regular traveller to Penang and recently we made it a point to break journey in Ipoh to make the journey less tiring and more enjoyable. For quite sometimes we have been staying at Casuarina Meru on our way back to KL. Then we found this Indra Hotel Boutique Suites and ever since we have been staying at this hotel to break journey. Indra Hotel Boutique Suites is located next to PLUS Highway exit Bercham if you are driving from the North. Tesco Ipoh is just opposite the hotel making it very convenient if you are coming during opening hours. It is a budget hotel nicely designed and quite comfortable. There are about 45 rooms in two floors. The room is well furnished with everything you need and the water pressure for taking shower is very powerful. Ironing is outside the room. There is drinking water, kettle for boiling water, telephone and safe deposit box. They also provide air cond and a fan. The bed is comfortable. There is one pillow for each person but you can ask for more. A cash deposit of RM50 is needed. There is no restaurant but a mamak restaurant is just opposite. Public Parking is available around the hotel and there a few lots reserved for customers on first come first serve basis. There is seats at the Lobby and a Table for 6 in case you have discussion. The rate is the best from RM130-200 depending on the room type. Counter service is OK just for check in and check out. It has been my second home now. Try it out the next time you are in Ipoh. I strongly recommend English comfort house if you’re looking for a good place for staying in Ipoh. Although it is not located near to the city centre of Ipoh, but you can easily access it if you’re driving. The house provides you with everything that you need. comfort beds, high speed internet, food and drinks, board games, and etc. Rachel responded promptly to questions and provided clear instructions for check in/out procedures. You will surely want to continue staying with them again next time when you are back to Ipoh.

Everything was OK, expect the guests need to walk from this end to the other (like we did as our room was at the end of the block). Not sure whether there were other access to the first floor other than the lift at the lobby. Ok if it is for a short business trip within Meru area. The micro location is good as it is a stone throw from Mydin Mall and many other attractions in Meru area. The room was OK although some floor boards are peeling off already. The toilet was not really clean especially at shower area. The glass partition was stained and not properly cleaned. Overall experience was OK, cannot ask for more.

For the price, this is a great hotel. Convenient to in expensive restaurants in walking distance. Free parking. Good internet. Staff is of top standard, close to Tesco and a short walk from a Kinta City Mall. No complaints. For the price, the room are clean and comfortable. Very happy with the bed. Just wished we had some English language channels on the television though. A very big thank you to the staff members of Art Cottage Hotel. They made our stay very comfortable.

When looking for hotel to book, the first criteria is location. This hotel is located away from down town and not too far away from down town. So, it is a rather quiet place. Very good. Next, was the offer of room rate, which is attractive. This pass. So, went ahead to book the dates of stay in Ipoh for this hotel. Upon arrive, the outlook of the hotel was rather impressive, very spacious lobby. When doing the check in, the front desk worker are foreigners. So, English and explanation is not very good. Even trying hard to explain in Bahasa Malaysia. Was told that there is no TV channels to watch. Reason given was the government has switched from analog to digital. So, the hotel were not equipped with the digital decoder. Well, this announcement has been made some time ago, and should be prepared to carry out the installation and testing. Not willing to spend money? Okay, without TV to watch is fine. Most ot the time would either be out and running about or just need the bed to sleep. When given the room key, it is the metal key. After getting into the lift to get to the room, the varendah on the floor was rather run down. There is self ironing service, where the ironing board cloth is rather burnt. Open the room door, and the room is rather musty. Uneven floor and torn and worn carpet. The windows are nailed and locked, therefore it could not be open. The window glass were tinted and the tint film is having blisters. Hence, not a clear view looking out from the room. The bed is okay. But the bathroom is very narrow and tight.The shower when turn on, will wet the toilet bowl and the wash basin. There is no cupboard, it is just a narrow spaced nailed together with planks to serve as a cupboard. Generally the room is very narrow too. Overall the room is very run down. There is no stool, no desk. So, have to use a bedside drawer to put the luggage and sitting on the bed to work with a very small and narrow coffee table. Wifi is very weak and intermittent.

Our room was spacious and well-appointed, with comfortable bed. The view of the city skyline from our window was breathtaking. The amenities included is well-stocked. Considering the quality of service, amenities, and location, M ROOFIpoh Hotel offered excellent value for money. There were no unexpected charges, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We dined at the hotel's restaurant, which offered a diverse menu of both local and international cuisine. The breakfast buffet was extensive, with fresh fruits, pastries, and made-to-order omelets. The service was friendly and efficient.

Love the design and ambience. Spacious and clean room. Basic amenities are available, convenient enough if you just bring your own bag of clothes. Hotel has wellness club complement with gym and jogging track for those with active lifestyle. However no mirror provided in the room, have to go to bathroom if you need mirror. Only one small trash bin in family room. Please add one in bathroom as well. Other than these two, the hotel is already great.

a great stay at Meru suites. huge rooms, friendly staff that will go the extra mile for a service for customers. great team, clean rooms as well. Quiet at night making it a wonderful stay. Only downside is the location as it is situated a 15mins drive away from town, but for such a wonderful stay I would not mind to come back here again.
