Half Moon Jackfield

Huge car park (essential given how busy they get in the Summer). Wonderful position with great views down to the river. Large interior and huge area outside. Nicely decorated. Friendly efficient staff. Food jolly good but 4* is a reasonable score. Prices reasonable. Will return.

We chose to stay here with friends for an event which was happening at Telford Golf Hotel and Spa. The rooms were lovely, the staff very friendly, the cooked breakfast gave a great start to the day. We had booked a meal for the Friday night which was superb and very filling. All together a wonderful and very central place to stay next to the river. Keep on doing what you are doing its excellent.

Excellent well equipped room with many extras such as room fans and a fridge (not expected in a pub room).Ultra fluffy towels and toiletries were a bonus. Service was 1st class and all the staff we met were friendly, informative and efficient. Could not fault them Tasty meals served attractively.The continental breakfast served on a tray the night before was huge and comprehensive. Perishable items could be stored in the room fridge...great idea and allowed flexibility of plans.. Would highly recommend the Half Moon .

Really good service, nice food, great atmosphere, right on the river. Great both inside and out. Good pub food. Very pleasant welcome and service. Not too busy, but just right numbers. Reasonably priced.

Only had food here thank goodness. Location is great being right on the river but the establishment seems to be run by a bunch of teenagers who are not that great to be honest. I had the Gluten free burger and it literally was a burger , bacon and packet chips . How much does it take to put some salad on the plate or even some fried onions given that I couldn’t have the onion rings ….

It's okay, but there are better pubs down the road. The menu has gone downhill, very limited choice, ended up ordering from the childrens menu. The prices have also risen since last time we went. Service has always been hit and miss but it was good on this occasion. Probably best to just pop in for a drink and sit outside next time, maybe until they change for a summer menu.

An excellent stay. Booked an extra night, as we liked it so much! Beautiful location, right on the banks of the River Severn. River view from our room. Close to all major attractions. Great walks on the doorstep. We had lunch and breakfast, both recommended. Staff we're fantastic, and helpful. Wifi coverage was excellent, bonus to have a smart tv in the room.

We went for a 60th lunch for my husband. Sunday lunch was fabulous, everything was hot and very tasty so much food, excellent service the staff were friendly and nothing was to much trouble. We had a doggy bag too. Excellent value for money would definitely recommend.

No wonder this place was empty staff lazying around chatting. We were one of three tables in here and still 20 minutes just for some drinks, we had aimed in eating here but after hearing the complaints from another table and seeing the staff busy chatting we left. Do not waste your time here the is a lovely little pub 2 minutes further down the road
