Top 5-Star Hotels in Islamhaneleri Mahallesi

Read the reviews, good & bad, read the hotel description, sounded great! Choice of bars and restaurants, spa, gym, private beach, complimentary mini bar etc etc. On arrival check in was smooth, simple and friendly, waited for a bell boy and cart for aprox 10 mins to take us to our room who along the way showed us where things were. Mustafa was very polite, friendly and helpful. He brought our luggage up and shows us round our room. We went straight for dinner in the buffet restaurant just before it closed First day rosy glasses, LOVELY breakfast seemed ok however some strange choice for the hot side like cauliflower and sprouts or potato wedges with herbs. Lots of fruit yogurt, cheeses, meats, eggs, pancakes, fresh made omelettes, kids food station and tables..... off to the pool NO need to reserve a bed at 5am loads to choose from but it is September. Clean but then......music from 10am to 7pm ALL DAY, EVERY FREAKIN DAY!!!!! Then the beach crank theirs up so you have them competing and if they are doing an activity the volume goes up to max!!!! NOT ONE SINGLE day of piece and quiet! Dont get me wrong I love music but come on. Then 7pm it switches to the evening music until whatever entertainment is on that night. Then the rosy glasses began to slip. Stone cold food in the buffet restaurant APART from the amazing Italian pasta chef who cooked fresh pasta dishes sat-thu. Dont bother telling reception they dont do anything about it! Raw chicken thighs on one cooking station! Poor kitchen and buffet hygiene. On a positive note the ice cream and baklava is amazing! Your room is meant to be cleaned, mini bar topped up, bathroom cleaned, bedding changed(on request)etc HOWEVER your bathroom is NOT cleaned and you WILL have to request toilet roll. You Will have to request your mini bar to be topped up when it has ran out. If you drip a drink on the table or dressing table you WILL have to clean that yourself. On a positive note whenever we put the clean sign out the floors were thoroughly cleaned aaaaand we ALWAYS had fresh towels regardless if we put ones the floor to show we required fresh or not, Also our cleaner was very friendly and polite when saw him as were all the others when we said good morning to them. The coffee shop.....ugggghhh dont bother!!! I dont know if it was because it was end of season or if it is usually lovely but where you got the coffee from was a fly infested junk shed with a few kids in there, no cake or cookie offerings, very few coffee options and it could be such a great space! Hubby and I were looking forward to coffee, cake, and uno. I could see all the different syrups etc but no menus. Cleanliness again a BIG issue in here! Music in the evenings unbearable after hearing it all day and no other bar to go to apart from reception which isn't equipped seating wise. Only a handful of seats outside and then 8 groups of 2 and 2 groups of 4 in reception, not ideal. Cant cope with over load banging music 12-13 hours
