Facilities: There are parking spaces, restaurants and bars, but there is no area for walking; Sanitation: Overall good; Environment: The location is relatively remote, a bit far from the attractions on the island. We couldn't have been happier with this hotel! I was a bit hesitant to book here due to some negative reviews, but our experience couldn't have been more positive! I booked the Superior room, it was more than large enough for my husband and myself, and our adult son (the rooms were separated by a 4 or 5 step staircase, our son had the upper room, we had the lower). Beds and pillows were very comfortable, the rooms and bathroom were very clean! There is a fan provided in the room, thankfully, as I sleep with a fan on year round. The kind gentlemen at the desk even put one together for my son to use, much appreciated! The breakfast was fabulous, and the woman serving us each morning was an absolute delight! All of the staff members were kind, warm, and friendly! The bar downstairs is a comfortable place to hangout for the evening, there were mostly locals in there, lovely people, great conversations! I do highly recommend this hotel!

I've read many of the reviews for Sligichan and while I can appreciate and understand why many have reported poor experiences, I think one has to put this property into perspective. Could the hotel use a few upgrades? Sure. Does Seumas' restaurant have the best food you will have in Scotland? No. Does everyone love their job at Seumas'? Probably not. But considering the location, the ambience, and the customer service from most of the staff, I rate this property highly. For those from the US that have reported that the property is overpriced, have you ever stayed at a property on or near a National Park? I've paid way more for a room at a NP that had no amenities and a 20 year old mattress! The property is clean, quiet, and the our bathroom was recently renovated. Additionally, the breakfasts in the AM were great, and if you have a custom order they are more than accommodating. A special shout out goes to Martin who I assume is the General Manager or something similar. While it is not necessarily a good thing for a property to have one person who can make your experience special, Martin is that person. I also had the occasion to connect with Martin after our visit and his customer service was as good after I left as it was when we were there in person. Thanks, Martin! I would most definitely go back.

Amazing location and lovely room. The view of the bay is outstanding and one of the best sun sets I've seen in a long time. Breakfast was perfect although the volume of the death metal music coming out of the kitchen was a bit much at 8am. But would definitely stay again!

The first 9 hotels in Sky Island before the trip are estimated to be expensive, but it is expensive, but the hotel is located in the middle of the Sky Island East-West Scenic Area. It is almost 40 to 50 in Nestor Point or the Old Man Peak. Minutes drive. The hotel is located in the bay, in a quiet environment, quiet to the extent of isolation, mobile phone signal is very poor, hotel WIFI is only available near the lobby. The surroundings are so good, so there are many cute little animals. Free parking, free breakfast, very good. The hotel has a good dinner, the former Tongan chicken liver appetizer, a grilled salmon main course, a grilled lamb chops main course, and two bottles of Sky Island dark beer (very good), for a total of 70 pounds, cheaper than the town restaurant. The rooms are large, clean and well equipped, with good toiletries and warm and thoughtful service.

Great location location to visit the west part of skye. 10 minutes away from the fairy glen. Breakfast was spectacular. The Pancakes were amazing and so were the eggs with salmon. Amazing buffet aswell. It just doesn't have amenities (shampoo and body wash), so bring some.

Remember- you are in a desolate area of Scotland. This location and cabins really help you get back to the beauty of Skye. The detached cabins are small but very nice. Then you head down to the main lodge. Such a great full made-to-order breakfast ( best we had in Scotland) Their dinners are so good and well prepared. You will not be disappointed. Their bar is excellent. The best part is their staff. I want to mention , Lola at the front desk. What a gem of a person !

The location of the hotel is very beautiful, there is a small flower-filled s-line road outside the door, and the photo is really first class. 1. This hotel is actually a homestay. You can check in by yourself. On the day of check-in, you will see a letter with your name at the door, and there is a key inside. The location is very good, just on the slopes of Portree overlooking the whole port. Parking is on the side of the road opposite the B&B. There are 7 parking spaces, but they are first come, first served, and there are usually spaces available. 2. There are many restaurants nearby, but if it is a holiday or weekend, many restaurants need to be booked in advance. A little farther away, there is a Chinese restaurant Panda that specializes in take away, which is actually quite affordable. The Chinese restaurant next to the homestay is average. 3. For sky island tourism, if you only live in one place, Portree is the best place.
