DoubleTree by Hilton Hotels in Istanbul

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here, could not have asked for better. The staff took good care of us, all were very friendly and helpful. Our room had a view of the Sea of Marmara, Kadikoy, Harem station and the European side including Topkapi palace. - simply fantastic. The room was clean, and practical and large enough for three adults to move around comfortably. The beds were comfortable and suitable for our very tall family! The pool on the roof was small (there’s also a larger indoor pool), but a welcoming feature to allow you to unwind after a long day of sight seeing or just to spend some time sunbathing and cooling off (again, the views were amazing). Breakfast was excellent, everything you could possibly want was on offer, but I have to say that the omelettes needed a little work, they were on the dry side. Other than that all the food was top quality. The location is probably the best part about this hotel, it’s away from the hustle and bustle of the European side, but has excellent access to the metro, taxis, ferries, buses, dolmus’s and even a tram. You can be in the thick of sight seeing in a matter of 15-20 minutes by ferry! The price was also reasonable, so much so that there is little point in staying at the more expensive hotels on the European side - it just makes sense to stay here! Overall, loved this hotel and hopefully will be staying here again. Thanks DT Hilton team for making our stay a great one.

We stayed here as a family and chose the hotel due to its location and also the Hilton brand. Every aspect and element of our stay was outstanding; from the welcome and check in process, the concierge, housekeeping, catering and reception desk - all outstanding and so detailed in the service they give to hosts. We particularly liked this hotel because whilst it's located in the old down district, it's amenities are highly modern, crisp and contemporary. We really enjoyed dining on the roof top terrace, adorned with an array of beautiful flowers and a cosmopolitan vibe. On Friday evenings the live music performance by a guitarist and singer made for a lovely dining experience complemented with delicious food (the tiramasu was one of the best I've ever had!). Our particular thanks to Gonca and the breakfast team for going out of their way to make us very well looked after and adorning our baby with love and lots of attention. We will most certainly return and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Istanbul - you will be very pleased

Our stay at the hotel had some positive instances and unfortunately more negative occurrences. Positive - hotel staff (bellman and some of the front counter staff were very helpful going above and beyond to assist with our luggage and unloading/loading our rental car) plus the location was super convenient. The older 2 bellmen at the hotel were very accommodating and always tried to correct any issues we had. Negative - some of the front counter staff were confirmed liars telling me there were no rooms in the hotel with balconies (we were finally assigned a balcony room) on another occasion I had to ask three times for our room to be cleaned as the maid service never cleaned our room one day. Also one of the A/C units in the room next to the bed could not be turned off and only blew hot air. The hotel resolution was for us to run the other unit and leave the door to the balcony open. BTW my husband had 8 hour surgery that day and this made his night's sleep very uncomfortable due to the heat. There was broken glass in the carpet in our room which I cut my toe on. When I told the front desk, they did nothing about it or even apologized. The Terrace Restaurant manager is completely ”disingenuous” and very money hungry. He kept pushing a bottle of water on me at dinner which I refused and then insisted on adding the price of the water to my bill. I explained I did not want the water as I was drinking wine and have free bottles of water in my room. After I adjusted the bill myself, he finally agreed to remove the charge. I found him to be VERY fake in all times I saw him in the hotel.

Nice hotel is remote, but the subway station is very convenient in the past, hotel facilities and services are good

Clean ,located in a very quiet zone,very easy to access,good parking fir cars,i like it so much. Pool,gym,good sevices Worth the price 10/10 Compliments

The location is average, not only far from the attractions, but also with a heavy traffic to the attractions. Other aspects are good.

It was a special stay in this hotel. All the staff thought us very well, always friendly and attentive. Emre kement(receptionist), helped me with the translation with the pharmacist. very cordial. Eren Tone (Bellboy), always smiling and friendly with the group Erhan Koca (waiter), despite his language skills, always knew how to give the best service Mustafa Donmez(Exe.Chef), very attentive to please the customer. breakfast is always fantastic. Hotel lobby is impressive and airy, our room normal size and adequate, breakfast was a normal smaller hotel variety. Breakfast espressos we ordered came out as 6€ each. They come surprisingly from the Starbucks corner at the lobby bar with triple the prices compared to local Starbucks (espresso is usually 38 liras not 120 in Starbucks). Other than this little tomfoolery I still recommend the place as the staff is friendly and welcoming, location is walkable to Taksim, you can use the hotel shuttle every hour to Taksim square. This was the best out of the three central Doubletrees in Istanbul we stayed at.
