Hampton by Hilton Hotels in Istanbul

Spent a total of eight nights at this hotel. Our stay was extremely enjoyable for the following reasons: # The hotel was spotless. Our room was clean and the staff who serviced the room each day did an outstanding job. # Location. The hotel is located in a very busy area, but access to public transport was easy with tram and underground stations located within walking distance. Nearby, there were stacks of places to eat a variety of foods and ATM's, supermarkets and all the things a traveller needs were a 'stone's throw' away. # Access to major attractions was easy- the tram line allowed you quick access to a number of important tourist attractions. # Breakfast- Included in the price and for once there was plenty of fresh, good quality food on offer. The dining area was clean and the staff extremely attentive. # Price Point- the room represented good value for money. # Staff- very helpful and with a sound knowledge base. Thinking of staying here- book it!

The location of the hotel is very suitable as beside it has marmaray that goes all around the city. 10 min walk leads to tram that leads to Zorlu luxury shopping mall. There is local mall beside as well. And there is a good private hospital for those who travels for medical matters. Rooms are modern and clean but very small. Shower has all the necessary things. Breakfast is included in every stay and it has good intercontinental variety. Famous Hampton waffles of 2 kinds are also available for breakfast.

Comfortable place to stay for those who need quick access to Sabiha Gökçen airport which is a 5 minute drive away. Rooms are well kept & comfortable. Staff is friendly & accommodating. Couple of hundred meters away from some excellent food courts & a couple of small malls. Great choice for those in for a very long haul between flights or a short business trip to Istanbul. The Starbucks on their premises is a definite plus too.

We spent a night at this hotel on our way out of Istanbul. It is about a 10 min ride from the airport. The hotel's website wrongly lists a shuttle service - which I'm sure they've been told before, but they don't seem to want to rectify it. The hotel lobby is a strange one. You enter what is effectively a busy dining area to get to the reception. We got there at dinner time - and the place was insane. Free dinner - must have been good - coz not only did the whole hotel seem to be there, but all the food was polished off. Check in was smooth and friendly. The rooms were decent - typical of a Hampton Inn - but new, clean and well appointed. Breakfast the next morning was surprisingly excellent! Not only was there a lot of variety, but the quality was good as well - and this is me comparing the breakfast to the 5-start buffet breakfasts we had had all along on our vacation. Overall, an excellent hotel to stay at before flying out of IST.

There are a lot of wonderful features of this hotel. 1. The room is clean, spacious, and suitable for desk work. 2. The full-choice breakfast menu, which could vary by day, includes restaurant-like dishes such as eggplant salad, mushroom salad, and scrambled egg with tomato (Menemen). 3. The staff are not only amiable and helpful but also respond quickly. 4. Most importantly, I left my personal belongings in the room when I checked out to leave for my country. After my inquiry, the hotel staff searched the room and kindly made an overseas call to tell me that they had found them. I am so grateful for their kindness.

The hotel is newly opened, the facilities are very new, and it feels very bright. The front desk guy speaks very good English and the communication is relatively smooth. The hotel is located in the middle of a very large slope, and it is a bit difficult to get in and out. It is not easy to get a taxi. You need to walk to the main road to get a taxi. The hotel breakfast is quite rich. I like tomato soup, which is not available every day.

We have a very good experience in this hotel especially Esin and Funda is really very helpful and very friendly .Esin she is always help me to find the bus routes and on the other hand Funda give us a very special breakfast ,they both are great and me and my husband both have a very good time .Highly recommended

For years since the new airport opened, there was no hotel chain close to Istanbul airport so the only choices were Yotel at the airport itself or drive very far for a much better hotel at lower price but you pay for taxi and you waste time in the taxi. Now there is a middle ground solution: the new Hampton in Arnavutköy. The rooms are nice (even nicer than many Hilton Garden Inns) but they ruin it with a staff speaking rubbish at guests, and poor design. First of all, upon arrival there is no reception, it's the restaurant. It's a long walk in a narrow aisle with tables on one side and the buffet on the other side, finally you reach reception and farther away, the elevators. So in the morning there is constant traffic with people with luggage crossing the entire restaurant to go take a taxi – I am sure some guests bang into each other and spill food and drinks on occasion at this hotel; I have never seen such poor hotel design. Anyway I am not going to Hampton brand hotel for the breakfast so I could overlook this aspect. The room types at this hotel are king or twin (cheapest), and king+sofabed or twin+sofabed (only a bit more expensive). I booked the regular twin. Upon arrival, as Hilton Diamond I did not receive any upgrade and given keys to the regular twin room. Not that I cared much for only 1 night but I asked if the room types with sofa bed are bigger, or if all room types are the same size. I was told all same size. So I stuck with my room and went upstairs. I arrived in the room and I was surprised how small it was. There is not a snowball's chance in hell that a sofabed could possibly fit. Nice room, but just small. I went back to reception and asked what room size is this and how can a sofa bed could fit. Another receptionist told me rooms with sofa bed are double the size: 33 sqm vs 16 sqm. I was not overly pleased at the first guy because by then we were settled in the room and his wrong answer was the ONLY reason I did not ask if an upgrade was possible as Hilton Diamond. Hampton brand hotels are not even obligated to upgrade Hilton Diamond guests as per Hilton terms and conditions, but it this case it was not the point. Then he told me upgrades are not possible because they are sold out. I showed him my phone which showed availability, he said it's not possible, Hilton must make a mistake. Easy to blame Hilton but bottom line a guest could have booked a room with sofabed on the spot and then what? They would tell a guest sorry we will downgrade you? Then he said they have one such room but it's out of commission (king + sofa). Never mind that I had booked twin + sofa so upgrade to twin+sofa would have been possible so he was focusing on the wrong issue anyway just to win an argument. Anyway it was a lot of rubbish coming out of their mouths and a conversation was clearly pointless so I wanted to end it, then the receptionist said to apologize the GM would give me a discount for a future stay.
