It doesn't deserve even a one star. My room, apart from being very small, was very untidy; musquitos all over the place; humidified walls; the furniture demolished, the sheet ripped; the curtains were turned from white into brown because of the dust; very small and bad bathroom (so small, it was very uncomfortable to take care of physiological needs); not enough supply of essentials, extremely poor WiFi in my room; bad room isolation: from my room I could hear someone walking by in the corridor as if we were not seperated by walls. Bad costumer service. The recepsionist was very rude and not hospitable at all. The owner also, while I was asking him something, he kept laughing on his phone, rather than taking care of his clients. Very disappointed.

Holiday Inn Istanbul City, an exceptional hotel, IHG Group! We stayed there in June 2022, 9 days! ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS reception staff!!! We received, as it was my birthday, a business room of 55 square meters! With living room, bedroom, exceptional! Pool view! Also, the cleanliness is 100%! Very good location, right in the tram station, which has a separate line, so transport is not limited by road congestion. A bit disturbing is the fact that, sometimes, we had to leave the pool at 3 or 4 p.m. because sometimes they had wedding parties organized in the pool area. But these parties are very nice, not disturbing, because at 11 pm they were over. It is very easy to reach Florya beach, in approx. 30 minutes by MetroBus. We recommend!

Me and a friend had a very pleasant stay in the hotel. The staff is absolutely friendly and welcoming. Such helpful people. The hotel is amazing but the staff is another level! The staff who shows genuine interest in listening to the people, patiently explaining about the hotel, country and activities and always smiling. going extra miles to make the visitors happy. Great Hospitality by Mr Ulas, Mr. Aleaddin and Mr. Mehemat where they tried to afford many services to assure our satisfaction and to make our stay amazing. So many adventure tours around the area will make you busy for a week. The hotel is very clean, room is very nice. we had Would highly recommend Seven Room Old City Hotel to everyone. thank you for an amazing hospitality

The hotel is a very nice hotel in an AMAZING location right near the center of Old Town. As soon as you walk outside you are immediately in a central area of shops, restaurants, and more. The Hotel is located on a slightly quieter street just mere feet away from the bustling streets of old town. The check in process was smooth and they brought us water and tea while we checked in. Right next door is a cute baklava cafe serving food and coffee and of course, delicious baklava. Just down the street we ate at Sabre Usta Donor Kebab and the Donor Durum we had there was incredibly good. We actually went back for another later on! We travelled with our 5 month old child and the staff at the hotel were extremely accommodating. The Concierge, Yigit, went above and beyond on multiple occasions to make our stay more enjoyable and make it extra special for our little one (he presented our baby boy with a football outfit of the local Turkish team and also helped me mail a postcard bringing out an official Turkish seal to add). It was very appreciated. Shout out also to Isil for helping us with whatever we needed and be ever so kind to our 5 month old. The rooms are very nice and large for European standards. Bathroom was very nice and plenty of bottled water was provided. The actual hotel is on the smaller side, but it is beautiful and very well maintained. Cabs/Uber do have a difficult time accessing the street the hotel is on, but it is only a short walk down the street to an area where you can grab one. It is also only a short walk to the Blue Mosque as well as the Bosphorus where you can take a ferry to other parts of Istanbul. All in all, we had a great stay and if you want to be in a nice hotel with welcoming staff in a perfect location in old town, this is for you.

This hotel has gotten all 5* reviews thus far and I do believe that it is largely well-deserved because the staff--I'd call out Jana in particular--just bends over backwards in order to be accommodating to the guests requests. This is partly because the hotel is relatively new and they want to make sure that they start out on the right foot, which is, of course, the correct strategy. That said, there are a bunch of minor problems with the hotel--or at least with the room that my son and I got. One such problem is that the bathroom door wouldn't close fully. This is not a big deal when traveling with family of course, but if traveling with a friend or an acquaintance (and we did get a double room with two separate beds), this might be an issue. Also, there was no bath gel or shampoo in our room; both the canisters/holders in the bathroom had conditioner in them for some reason. A more serious problem is that the internet could be slow; in fact, it crashed 2 times when I was guest lecturing for a professor (don't ask me why I was working while on vacation--that's a story for another day). So, it was a bit embarrassing. Finally, the washbasin got clogged up because the stopper wasn't working properly. Again, I want to reiterate that, in the larger scheme of things, these are relatively minor problems and the staff went well and beyond call of duty to be accommodating. For instance, they sought us out to check in to see if our issue had been resolved and even gave us a complimentary ride back to the airport on the last day. I'd definitely stay here again in a heartbeat; I just don't feel it's fair to give them a 5* rating just yet though.
