I stayed here for one night on Sunday, February 13th. The exterior and interior show signs of aging, but they are kept clean and there is no unpleasant impression at all. It is perfect for those who want to feel the nostalgia of the good old Showa era (lol). The staff, from check-in to the dining area and the people I passed in the hallway, were very friendly and greeted me politely. I made a reservation with a special plan this time, but they kindly changed my room to the third floor (308). It was a room with a balcony and a great view of the Ito Station building and the sea. There is also an air conditioner, humidifier, and refrigerator, so there are no inconveniences at all. I thoroughly enjoyed the two large baths and two private baths. The large bath [Gekko no Yu] (with open-air bath) is small and the water pressure of the shower is weak. [Venus no Yu] (with reclining bath) is spacious and the water pressure of the shower is no problem. Both the private baths [Yume Sora] and [Koizora] are rock baths that can accommodate up to four family members. Please note that there are many stairs to get to and the seats are next to each other, so conversations can get out of hand (scary). Couples, please be careful not to get carried away (lol). We had dinner and breakfast in a private dining room. It was better than we expected!! In particular, the seasoning, fattiness, and fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth texture of the [boiled golden-eyed snapper (fillet)] for dinner was sure to be ranked the highest ever. Also, the [raw fish* from Asagiri Plateau] for breakfast was insanely delicious!! For just under 10,000 yen per person, unlimited hot spring access, and dinner and breakfast included (dining area), I think the quality is excellent. I am grateful and respectful of the management efforts. Ito Onsen is truly amazing...
