I made a plan to walk Suo-Oshima during the four consecutive holidays in September. Accommodations on the island are fully booked on some days, and nearby Yanai City is also fully booked. So I made it to Iwakuni. I was able to stay very cheaply during the Go To campaign. It was a few minutes walk from Iwakuni station, but I was happy that the parking lot was free. The room is on the 6th floor with 11 floors and has a little view. The area is about 14m2, so there is no problem if you are alone. The hotel is not new, but it was clean. The faucet in the bath was old-fashioned and I felt a little nostalgic. I was happy that breakfast started at 6 o'clock. The content is pretty good. The price is kept low, and I think that it is a passing level enough for a local business hotel.

Good.
As other reviews, it was a facility that felt a little old, but it was a stable and safe facility, and there was no mistake.
The view is good, but if it is on the 3rd floor in the ocean view room, there is a disappointment because the ceiling on the 2nd floor is about 10 meters in front of the room.
When I told him at the front desk at check-in, ”This is ○○ (my name) booked at Trip.com,” the expression of the veteran female staff became a little steep. And if it is another hotel, he immediately finds my name from the guest list, saying ”Yes, ○○”, but he does not respond like that. ”First, please fill in your name here.” It felt as if I was told, ”I'm in trouble if I call my name, please write my name on this paper, that's how our hotel is doing.” (There may be a story that my feelings are damaged, but it was true that the expressions of the staff became steep). It was a little disappointing.
The night cruise was good.

The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl.
The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.

I went to Miyajima on a family trip and used it for the first time.
It is a feeling that the old good old inn built by the sea near the bustling shopping street which is the main street is renovated for the present age, and the whole facility ~ the facilities in the room are unified and beautifully arranged It was a very nice inn where you can feel the old history in 々 while being able to feel it.
There are many free services available only for guests. The hotel has a lounge with free drinks to enjoy the scenery in the lobby and the top floor, and there is also a service where you can choose multiple pillows and yukata according to your preference. There are plenty of drinks and sweets in the room, so I didn't have to worry about the expenses of fine beverages.
This inn will respond as flexibly and pleasantly as possible to the wishes of the guests.
For example, in our case this time, when we told our family in advance that there are people with bad legs, they can install a bed in a Japanese-style room, and change the basic dishes provided to each person's taste. Even if I was lost, I was able to make a flexible response and suggestion immediately, so I was able to spend a very comfortable time.
The hot spring is in the basement, and it has an old-fashioned atmosphere with only a large bathtub 1, and it is not so large, and the scenery is not good because it is in the basement. Compared to the hot spring resorts devised at this time, it may feel unsatisfactory, but it is clean and the temperature is around 40 degrees, so it is ”good old” while taking a long bath. I felt that it was a place to enjoy.
It was stated that the quality of the hot water was slightly salty and smooth, and it was pumped and boiled from the source. I was able to take a comfortable bath without being squeezed or dry even by families with weak skin.
Unfortunately, there are no open-air baths or private baths, but some rooms have open-air baths with rooms, so I think you can choose according to your taste.
What should be noted here is the wonderfulness of the food.
The amount of meals varies or is insufficient depending on the course and price, which is often a big preparation at such a large inn, and the impression and quality of appearance are greatly different from the images on the site. Instead of having a sense of failure such as the dishes that were cold at the time of serving inn dishes, we were able to provide a wonderful dish of a more impressive level.
This time we were in the room, and it was originally said that Masazen was the basic set, but 4 kind of seasonal course dishes (Masazen, delicious fish, delicious meat, delicious feast) with guidance on the site. I requested it at the stage of advance reservation and received everything with my family. There is no loss at all in every course, and the abundant ingredients unique to the land are carefully prepared, and all of them are very delicious, and the individual dishes requested by the order are prepared quickly. At the end, he made rice balls for dinner, which were full and could not be eaten, and he was able to provide a supreme time beyond the best. In addition, the breakfast at the dining hall I received the next morning was surprisingly luxurious with a large number of items, but the amount was gradually appropriate and very satisfying.
The seasoning is natural, healthy, and exquisite taste adjustment and appropriate temperature, which does not rely on artificial taste operations such as umami seasonings, while protecting the gentle flavor that makes the best use of the goodness of fresh ingredients. Submit It was served, delicious and very impressed. Even teens did not feel any dissatisfaction and were able to enjoy it until the end, and there was no problem with the temperature, seasoning, size and hardness of the ingredients for the elderly. I'm a diabetic Ⅱ type and I'm usually worried about my blood sugar level, but even if I eat this well 々, my blood sugar level rises calmly and does not soar as when I eat out. After 々 I was very surprised because I didn't feel sick. I think there are individual differences in how to feel the taste, but I hope it will be helpful.

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.

Probably our favourite place to stay in our 2-week holiday, with the best food and warmest welcome. Shinko-San was very friendly and welcoming. She kindly annotated a local map and advised us on what to see on Miyajima, as well as what times the low and high tides were to see the torii gate. Go and see the torii gate at sunset - the gate is floodlit so we got stunning photos there. All the day trippers had gone home so it was nice and quiet. Miyajima itself is such a lovely island, with a great shopping street full of places to eat, including street food, and a shop selling Studio Ghibli items which was perfect for my daughter. We did the cable car up Mount Misen, did the final walk up to the top, then walked all the way down. Beautiful and peaceful. The food here was extremely tasty, presented beautifully, and Shinko-San explained what everything was, and how to eat it. She wanted to make sure that we all liked it and substituted items for our son when there were ingredients that he didn’t eat. We especially enjoyed the tofu dishes and the fried oysters (you can see the oyster beds when you are on the ferry over to the island). Highly recommend the Japanese-style breakfast - the best breakfasts we had in 2 weeks. We stayed in a Japanese-style room (4 people) and there was 1 shower and 2 toilets in there, which was good. The futons were very comfortable, and we had a lovely view of the water. The bathroom that had the shower and toilet was quite cramped but it was fine for the 2 nights that we stayed there. We loved our stay here, and would definitely recommend it.

After battling crowds in Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Hiroshima, Miyajima and the Hotel Miyajima Villa were a welcome respite. Indeed, we so enjoyed our stay that we added an additional night. Before and after the arrival and departure of day trippers from Hiroshima, we felt as though we had the island and its wild deer all to ourselves. The hotel is immaculate, ideally located (a few steps from the ferry and a short walk to the island's attractions) and staffed by incredibly helpful, friendly and energetic staff. A hearty breakfast got each day off to a solid start while our afternoon soaks in the top floor onsen were perfect for getting rid of kinks from a day of sightseeing.

Great location by the Inland Sea, and for departures to Miyajima Island, but 30 minutes from the city highlights.
Club Lounge food choices were poor - little variety, and very plain. No Japanese choices.
Buffet was great, in a top floor location with an amazing view.
Experience a 100% satisfying journey living in a traditional Setouchi kominka. An inn perfect for leisurely enjoyment.

GGuest UserFirst of all, location is good ‼︎
There is really Kintai Bridge in front of me, and I spent time as if I were dreaming.
The clean room is wide 々, and the large TV 、 beautiful bathtub 、 easy to sleep ・・・ everything is perfect 👌 and 、 Breakfast is also full of volume!
I stayed with 3 people this time, but 、 Everyone was together and 、 ”Great inn!”!
I want to stay again!
It's an inn that should definitely stop
RResort805973I made a plan to walk Suo-Oshima during the four consecutive holidays in September. GGuest User It is a 350 year year since the Kintai Bridge, which is 1 of the Sanmeibashi Bridge in Japan, was hung for the first time, and I am impressed! And when you visit here, you definitely want to eat ”Iwakuni Sushi”! !! There are many restaurants that serve Iwakuni sushi, but the best location to enjoy while looking at Kintai Bridge is the restaurant ”Sakura” in Iwakuni International Tourism Hotel. Push sushi, a local dish of this area, also known as Tonosama sushi, can be enjoyed as a very tasty dish where you can feel the feelings of the creator even at lunch time at the restaurant Sakura. Anyway, it's delicious! One word. I asked for a reservation the day before, but Mr. M in charge responded really politely and was able to spend a comfortable time. Very satisfied with the reasonable price and high-quality service and delicious meals! It tasted unforgettable!
GGuest UserThis was a very nice hotel.. great WiFi, comfortable bed, cold A/C, fantastic front desk staff, great location next to the train station, walking distance to several restaurants and hardworking room cleaning staff. The rooms a small Japanese style and if you get a chance book the premium room which is a little bigger than the other rooms. I did not have breakfast so I can’t comment on that but I did see a lot of people eating every morning. Also you get a discount on parking if your a guest as well.
Aayase_chronoQuality of hotel chain stability. Well, it feels like a place to stay with peace of mind at a low price. There is not so much distance from the station, and the convenience store and the location are good if you cross the signal. As long as you are happy with the low height of the bathtub and the large size than other Toyoko. I have used it several times since the opening, but I still smell new construction such as adhesives and paint because the corona is not good. If you have a membership card, you will register as a room key. The room is a type of electric when the card key is applied, but if you change a little thin point card instead, you will not respond. I tried to put a credit card with the weight of the room, but it was not good, and it might be a type of reading room key. It is certain that the security is firm because the elevator cannot be called without the key from the outside (it comes usually when it comes out of the room), so it is certain that the security is firm.
GGuest UserIt was small and the service was good, but there was no toilet in the room, which was inconvenient.
The food was very good.
I also liked that it was within walking distance of the Kintai Bridge.
BBZimm08I really wish I could rate Hotel Trend higher, but I felt it was just an average hotel. Some positives were the staff. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel did include breakfast, there is a small charge for breakfast, but they had a lot to offer. I was not a fan of all the waste that is used for preparing the breakfasts. Each dish is bite sized and they wrap it in plastic, which accumulates to a lot of waste. The food was good though, and traditional. The rooms and bathrooms were on the smaller side. I recently moved to Iwakuni and had three suitcases leaving little room inside. But the rooms were clean and had all the necessary items. My biggest frustration with the hotel was the Wi-Fi. My room rarely had a strong connection, and I had to get help several times. Overall, Hotel Trend is a basic hotel that is worth it for a few nights but it does have it's limits.
