Although it is a reservation system, it was a hotel that was working hard to pick up and drop off to Miyajima by a boat like a houseboat and free drink.

After knowing my rudeness, I finally found a bright restaurant with almost no vacant places around. When my husband asked me if I could borrow the Mitobai, I was guided outside and ran. I have a four-year-old daughter, so I followed slowly. However, there was no streetlight and I walked for a long time in the dark, but my husband was not there. There were no streetlights and even I was scared. When I got back, my dad was looking for me too. I was relieved. When we talked about how it happened, my dad also said that it was just across the bridge and it seemed like he would miss it, so he desperately searched for it. However, I ran to the left side instead of the right side (the one I looked for with my daughter). We didn't go to the left side because it was really creepy. Then, there was something like a small hut, and it seems that it was a toilet. It looked dark and terrible. It seems that my husband also felt that it was terrible to guide there. If it's bright, it's still dark. For the time being, I was able to join and solve it, but it was so bad that I was worried about the word of mouth of the inn, so I looked it up. What a three-star hotel. It was also highly rated. It made me feel even more sad. I'm writing this review because I don't think it's a good thing to treat only guests. The correspondence here will lead to the next sightseeing, and if the correspondence is good, I will want to stay. I told my husband that I would never stay at that inn. It may be just one family, but it's important. Our family also traveled for the first time in a while in Corona. Coming from outside the prefecture, I was touched by the warmth of the people. However, I was also touched by this kind of coldness. If the inn sees it, I want you to think about serving customers again.

The location is very good, just a few minutes walk to the Itsukushima Shinto Shrine and Mt. Misen Ropeway station. There is a free shuttle bus station right outside the hotel to go the ropeway station. You can see the Torii throughout the hotel window. At night when the Torii with lights on, the view is stunning! The indoor onsen is not big but it's ok for 10+ people at the same time, the outside onsen is small and can only occupies 4-5ppl. The staff in the hotel are very friendly and thoughtful. I was fully wet after the hiking to Mt. Mismen on the raining day, they helped me to dry all my shoes and coat. Happy to stay at Iwaso and will definitely stay again.

It is convenient to walk 5 minutes from JR Miyajima Guchi Station and access to Miyajima sightseeing, of course, is also easy to access Hiroshima. Therefore, you can eat dinner in the city and go to Miyajima immediately the next morning. It seems to be worth using for business youth such as single room and free breakfast.

I highly recommend this ryokan for the exceptional experience including great food, staff & room. My room was a traditional ryokan room with tatami matts but with traditional mattresses. It overlooked the the pedestrian street but was very quiet at night since most tourists visit Miyajima as a daytrip. The staff was gracious enough to setup a futon for me on the tatami matt so that I could sleep traditional Japanese style. Haruka at the front desk was amazing. She speaks limited English but enough to communicate with. She wrote me a very sweet handwritten note that I will keep forever when I asked where I could buy a yukata robe. I had asked her where I could purchase a yukata (traditional Japanese robe). The presentation of the dinner was amazing and worth it. The on-site onsen was was great and was usually all to myself. It has one indoor pool along with a small one on the outdoor deck that overlooks the bay and torii gate. Upon checkout, Haruka escorted me out which I believe is typical of a ryokan. It was sad to leave because of how memorable the stay was! The ryokan was expensive but worth it for the experience. I can't imagine visiting Miyajima only as a day trip. It would be too rushed as there's plenty to do for 2 days. Must sees are the torii gate along with the shrine surrounding it, taking the ropeway up to Mt. Misen (the top of the mountain is about a 20-30 minute steep hike from the end of the ropeway but I recommend it), and finally definitely do not miss Daishoin shrine which was truly amazing. Recommend avoiding Saturday & Sundays as it's very, very crowded.

Good points: 1. Location is amazing since it’s right on the island and everything is within walking distance. 2. We had breakfast and supper included in the stay. Food was varied and plentiful for most palates. Plenty of fruit and veg too. 3. Staff for 98% of the time was great. Language barriers are expected. Google translate is a perfect alternative to the translation issue. The front desk staff were awesome and was extremely helpful. 4. Room is spacious for a traditional Japanese hotel. We had our own onsen which was delightful. The beds were mostly comfortable and we had two full mattresses pushed together creating a massive king! 5. Once you enter the hotel you must take off your shoes and the hotel provides house slippers which generally fit most people. The lobby has shoe cubbies for your shoes. They do not lock, but Japan has very little petty theft so you don’t need to fret over potential thievery. Negative points: 1. This is of no fault of the hotel, rather it’s a Google maps problem. Be aware Google maps will basically have you climb the mountain and drag your suitcase through a dirt path. Instead put in the Miyajima post office and with the water to your right, turn up to the small road with the post office to your back. Keep going straight for about 2.5 city blocks and you’ll walk right into the hotel. Much easier than the 40 minute hike we took. 2. Restaurant staff on the whole were great. Only issue was this morning when we went to breakfast this morning and tried to sit in our usual table, the staff tried to sit us with some other people. I asked if we could sit at a different table and the individual said no and walked away. We didn’t know these people they tried to sit us with. However, they were tourists like us. I was frustrated because the staff member just walked away from us when I was still speaking to him. Very rude! 3. The toilet room smelled really bad. It was a combination of mold and chemicals.

Near the pier, up a hill, the environment is quiet, the bathhouse is not big, and fortunately there are not many people. The breakfast is exquisite. Some of the waiters are from Taiwan, so communication is no problem. From the rooms on the sixth floor of the hotel, you can see the old ruins of Miyao Castle on the key mountain (the site of the Itsukushima Battle), and you can see the large torii gate from the side, and the view is acceptable.

２ First stay. It was still the best. Very satisfied with the room, food and service! All-you-can-drink sake in Viking should be very satisfied with those who like sake!
