Amazing service and onsen facilities. There are both indoor and outdoor, private and public baths to choose from. There are unlimited drinks from the drinks machines and also other complementary food services. Both the meals, breakfast and dinner, were exquisite. It was great to experience traditional Japanese dining. The traditional Japanese building was like a labyrinth and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the many halls and gardens. The location is also great and there are many shops and temples around the area. All in all the perfect place to have a more traditional Japanese experience whilst receiving excellent service.

The hotel is very well maintained and all the stuff are friendly. We had some small unexpected issues when checking in. Thanks to the reception stuff Mr Chikara Chino’s great help, he had been very patient and responsive to find solutions. Soon the issue was solved and we checked in smoothly. The hotel is super great. I would highly recommended tourists to stay and experience at this historical, iconic place. Also many thanks to all the stuff we met during our stay - you all make a very good team :)

The hotel is very old but it feels very old style but that is good for a onsan hotel. The room is big for our family of 3 adults and the inroom onsan is excellent. It also offers multiple public and private onsan, which is great. I tried all of them during my stay.

It is a traditional ryokan with a lot of history. Therefore, due to its age, it cannot provide a too comfortable feeling. There are no lifts / escalators for customers to go to 2/F. I needed to carry two suitcases up 2 steep staircases to my room. The room is clean but just old. It is also not easy to find a TV of that small size in hotels now. The hot springs (Onzen) were fine. Both dinner and breakfast are good, I was seated in a smaller restaurant where I found very comfortable.

This hotel is great, the service attitude is very good and friendly, especially the two old gentlemen at the door, they are very enthusiastic and thoughtful, the hotel facilities and hygiene are good, the free beverage bar has a lot of varieties, and the late night noodles are especially delicious. The only shortcoming is that the breakfast is so-so

Shuzenji bus terminal is right at the door, which is quite convenient. Very Japanese experience, although the hotel lobby is a bit old, but the room has been obviously renovated, it is quite clean, and the facilities are also very complete. I booked two room types, one with a balcony and one with a private bath. The room is not small, at least you can open the box. The room is very soundproof, and the sound of the river is completely isolated when the window is closed. The waiters are very kind. From the moment we get off the bus and meet the concierge grandfather, he will check our information from the list. After entering the lobby, put your shoes in the shoe cabinet, and there will be a special front desk lady to connect. We were greeted by a mixed-race beauty with pure American accent. That night, we encountered the fireworks of Shuzenji, and the grandma in the restaurant enthusiastically pulled me to a window where I could see the fireworks. It was a very warm experience. There is free milk during the day, Yakult in the afternoon, Oden at 6 o'clock, and noodles for supper. Several private baths are very free to use, no reservation is required, mainly turn the sign to use and lock the door, open-air bath is a good experience. There are not many people in the public bath, which is basically a private bath. The only thing that could be better is the food, which is a little different from other Japanese hotels I stayed in before, but it’s not bad. Anyway, this is a hotel that has been chosen by several cultural celebrities, such as Natsume Soseki, and it is a good experience as a Japanese literary tour.

The hotel exceeded expectations. Take the JR or Shinkansen to Shuzenji Station, then change to a minibus to sit opposite the hotel, which is very convenient! The private baths and public baths in the hotel are very good, especially the public open-air baths, where you can enjoy the sky and the woods, which is very relaxing! The hotel's one-night-two-meals plan is also very cost-effective. Dinner is served one by one according to the set, and most people can eat it to their heart's content, especially full! In addition, the hotel also has free soft drinks, beer, probiotics, fresh milk, coffee, etc. that can be taken at any time. When staying here, there is no need to plan for food and drinks around, because you can solve it in the hotel!

Traditional Japanese hot springs, it's not expensive to take a taxi from Shuzenji Station, and it takes a few minutes to walk to the Shuzenji scenic area. All aspects are good, and the dinner is also OK. Overall, it is satisfactory. The outdoor private bath is free, and there will be vacancies after waiting for a while at the door. The hotel environment is very good, and there are free drinks and midnight snacks. It is suitable for staying for one night. The house by the river may make a lot of noise. You can book an ordinary room, garden view, and good service

I like this kind of quaint old shop. They provide kneeling service when you check in. The price of more than 1,000 yuan is usually worth staying here!
