After a very long day in the saddle, the reception team delivered a very warm welcome upon arrival with aching limps soothed by the in-house onsen As the hotel caters for cyclists, there are bike maintenance areas with staff on hand to help out guests when needed. The in-room breakfast was plentiful, with the room & bathroom both clean & spacious. The hotel caters for cyclists & is perfectly positioned at the top of peninsular so that cyclists have the opportunity to enjoy parts of the peninsular or take up the 200k challenge of riding around the coast. I would highly recommend the hotel.

This was probably the best experience i had during my visit to Japan. The ryokan feels authentic yet luxurious, the service id amazing. The personnel speaks english very well. The room was just what we wanted, very spacious, tatami floors, a balcony with a city view. We even had a little bath that you could fill with water from the hot spring. The dinner was exquisite, very authentic and delicious. The breakfast was just as good, although the amount of fish dishes might be a little overwhelming for foreigners. The best part though was obviously the onsen. The cable car that takes you to the onsen really added to the experience. We had the chance to go in the evening and in the morning. Both times there were no other people. It was raining in the morning and i definitely recommend going to the onsen while it rains if you get the chance. After checking out we were offered a ride to the station by the owner, and we had a nice chat on the way. So i absolutely recommend this ryokan, i wish we stayed longer

I used it for a few days back, but I stayed for the first time. It is convenient to use the day-trip hot spring hall after checking out on the day of the stay. The pool is also available at a discount price and full of elements that can be enjoyed quite. The room chose a large room with a veranda, but it may be good to be far from the main building and narrow. I was at the day trip hot spring hall and tried to use it open-air. It is not cheap, but you can relax with your family. The zashiki is also large. However, there is nothing to bring food and drink (with a refrigerator). The public bath is a great view open-air bath as well as a day trip. It becomes a little narrow version. It is a great view whenever you go.

Izu Okawa Onsen. I have traveled to Izu for several dozen times, but it was the first hot spring area to visit. After I was lost in Shimoda or inatori, I decided to check out the muddy hot water and late check out. I relaxed in a room where you can enjoy the ocean view. All rooms have ocean view. It was an inn where Izu Oshima could be seen in front of me. I stayed in a room on the 9th floor of the silver ridge. I thought it was a good inn to have you get a hand towel by the shuttle car at Inatori Station. I thought, but I was disappointed. The person in charge of the trip was very kind and I have fond memories of my trip. This is what I learned on our most recent visit: The hotel room (I think we had a ”Hollywood Standard Twin) was quite spacious. The beds were large and comfortable, and there is a nice-sized balcony with a generous ocean view. I see some other reviews on Tripadvisor calling the rooms ”old and smelly” -- this has never, ever been my experience, not once. The room seemed exactly as it was over 10 years ago, but that's fine. The colors are soft, muted ”beach” colors and we were very comfortable. On our first night we ate at the ”Melesea” restaurant, which serves French cuisine. We chose the ”Demi portion” course, which was about 9,000 yen (about $62USD with today's exchange rate). We chose it because it wasn't as high priced as some of the other course meals and the portion sizes sounded right for us. There is no question that the ”Demi portion” course was one of the best I've ever had in my life. The chef (Mr. Ohki) is obviously a professional who really understands how to bring out the delicate flavors of any dish, and he is a master at preparing sauces. Everything that was served was outstanding. No, we didn't want to pay that much money per person, but ultimately we made the right choice. We both were extremely impressed. The above two things, plus generally good weather, added up to a good experience. Here, though, are things that you should be aware of: This is essentially a family hotel. That means if you are coming here for peace and quiet, and you make the mistake of coming on a weekend or a national holiday, you can expect lots of screaming children running with abandon down the hallways and fussing in the restaurants and everywhere else. Japanese parents tend to indulge and spoil their little ones. And forget about using the pool, since that's where parents will be staked out the first thing in the morning. If you are a parent, you might find this to be the perfect hotel. If you aren't, and you do not enjoy the boundless energy and noise of children, you will be sorry you booked a room here. So, think carefully about the dates you arrive and leave. As for prices: Although you can get a ”Tokyu Hotel” member card, and although you can find online promotions, the way the hotel makes its money is through its dinners. You are going to pay a lot for them, although there is effort put into them, so, you do feel you are having an ”experience.” But they do not come cheaply. Also, if you don't book your room with breakfast, expect to pay ¥2900 for a ”buffet breakfast.” If you are Japanese, you will love this breakfast; if not, you will find an adequate selection of items for a Western breakfast.
