A nightmare of an experience. To begin with the property is located in some godforsaken corner in Jodhpur city with no mention of the property name on the outside, making it impossible to find it on your own. I checked in with my family in the wee hours of the night. I am met first thing in the morning with the hotel owner at the breakfast buffet announcing that my the food I am eating isn't included in my room tariff, very hospitable for the first interaction with any staff. Thereafter, I am almost held at gunpoint to clear all the payments which I did immediately for the upcoming days included. It is this point onwards, there was no staff to be found anywhere in the property for any service whatsoever. You need water, go find the kitchen and if you're lucky enough, you might find somebody who has no idea where I can find water. I calmed myself down with the service shenanigans and let it all pass by as I had to attend another function in the evening and had a long night of travel ahead of me. Cometh midnight, I return to the property with my family and we find ourselves locked out of the hotel. I jumped the gate to find someone to let my family in, mind you they were all stood there tired in shivering cold. I reach the reception area, knocked hard on the doors but apparently this was still of no avail. After like 10 minutes a rather furious *** claiming to be the owner's brother opens the door. In his drunk state, he starts to abuse and misbehave telling me its MY FAULT that I didn't inform the hotel staff that. I'd be returning late (a boys hostel curfew doesn't do that these days, let alone a hospitality avenue). Untrammelled in his inebriated state to admit fault and let my family in, he starts yelling words in front of my family, my sisters and mother included, words you wouldn't call out to your worst enemy. I walked up to my room, packed my bags, never to return again. Sincere piece of advice, you don't know how to run a hotel, so might as well stop all operations and live your princely life in this dingy corners with the fake pride and glory of your trophies. Much to the rescue of innocent travellers and tourists who godforbid might have to go through this traumatic experience.
