Johor Bahru Hotels with Gym

We booked 2 nights and my hubby decided to stay another night more. Ms Grace was very helpful in assisting us with the room extension and “making up” the room. The aircon in our room was very strong. The buffet breakfast was great too. Hope that the gym could have more billiard table and amenities as we queued up to play for the game and some balls are missing. Air conditioning in the gym wasn’t strong too.

2nd stay here is because of the amenities around the hotel and because of the huge size of the room. However cleanliness need to be improved. Hair found on the pillowcase. Tissue box not replaced with a new one thus, required guests to call for housekeeping service. 1 reason for the repeat stay is the reasonable price and the spa of the hotel. The spa has great therapists and reasonable discounted price for hotel guests.

It was an excellent stay at Amari Hotel. The location was convenient with a few shopping malls within the area. The hotel room was clean and spacious for a Deluxe King room. Service staff was helpful and courteous. Overall staying at the hotel was a satisfying and happy one. Will be back for the next travelling to Johore Bahru.

The location of the hotel is not too far from immigration checkpoint. I like the spacious big room and toilet come with a bathtub. The only not satisfy of the the hotel is the wall and furniture look a bit old, not furnished new. There is no charging points near the bed. They have facilities of night pub, Spa and a mini pool in the hotel. Hotel breakfast is traditional lesi lemak, goreng , curry etc...not international food. Overall great stay for a cheap day trip.

You can walk to CIQ but takes around 8-10 minutes. Not covered. There's a swimming pool but according to my kids, it's very cold swimming in it, not sure if it's the current weather. So they are not ecstatic about it unlike other hotels we have been thru. The pool is not that clean either. But the gym is top notch. Breakfast top as well. The room is great and warm cookies were provided during check in. The hotel team gave my daughter a small cake for her birthday upon request. Kudos! Free AC charger (I got around 2.7kW) for EV car (6hrs) The good stuff definitely overshadows the minor weaknesses.

Consistent with brand standards, bulk-size amenities are provided here at the Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre and while I do appreciate the positive impact these initiatives have on the environment, the body wash bottles located by the shower area were empty when I checked-in to the room. The opaque bottles definitely make it hard for housekeeping to check whether a top-up is required so this is quite certainly a pain point for everyone. Affordable and modern rooms in a great location make Holiday Inn Johor Bahru City Centre a great choice for travellers from Singapore without private transport.

Breakfast not much variety .prata not really nice .curry is good.no fish or chicken dishes.only hotdog and beef patty Certain floor not in use and dusty smell.should out up notices in the lift . Hotel room is ok .toilet flushing mus press long the button a hassle .

Holiday Villa Hotel is so far my best hotel i have stayed so far. The location is great with a lot of eateries nearby. From Namines Pastry to Ping Ming Xuan, there's even a famous shopping mall (KSL Mall) next to the hotel. Just below the hotel, there are also several food stalls if you are too lazy to walk over. At night, there is even a Chinese dessert stall serving traditional desserts as well.... If I am going to nitpick on things, then it will be the view of the hotel as there is a new hotel (Novotal) construction nearby, which is sometimes very noisy. Breakfast served was not bad as it doesn't strictly serve Malay food only. There is even a pub with a live band performing every day at level 26 (just one level above the swimming pool) The views at night at the pub are so beautiful as well. (Refer to pictures below) . I would definitely come back and stay again in the hotel. Thank you.

No disposable slippers and hand towels. TV images were fuzzy and there was no sound from one channel. However, extra hangers, one toilet roll and some toiletries were given promptly upon calling the Housekeeping. A parking fee of RM4 was charged when we tapped out of the carpark even though the card was validated at the counter. However, the buffet lunch and Hi-tea were delightful and we hope to win the lucky draw.

Check in was quick and easy. Had a deposit of RM 100.00 paid and the Front Desk explained the details. Room was very spacious indeed, clean and neatly arranged. The interior is dated but no doubt everything works fine for a night stay. Traffic going out of the vicinity can be a challenge as there is a ferry terminal next to the hotel, and an immigration check is required on all vehicles leaving the area. It took about 15-20 minutes as only 1 officer was on duty. Nonetheless, I would say it is worth the price!
