Hotels near Surau Impian Jaya, Johor Bahru

This was a staycation and we booked an executive twin with ‘2 large single beds’ as advertised, but the room was very small, so were the beds. Although rather well-appointed in terms of furnishings, there just isn’t quite enough space for 2 adults and a pre-teen child to roam. The tv is also smaller usual. There is no breakfast provided but the street that the hotel is located at has some options, but not where I would go for breakfast. The Mount Austin theme park is nearby, but if that’s where you’re heading, I’d assume you would like more space and comfort to chill out after an entire day of play.

We were allowed earlier check in and one hour late checkout. Very convenient to get around and plenty of food choices around the vicinity. Photio showing one of the cafe food I ate.😀

Dear Crystal Crown Management Team, First of all, I would like to thank you for the hospitality during this period. To begin with, I have a brother who is currently serving quarantine at Hotel Ramada, so I know exactly what are the two hotels offering and its differences. Nevertheless, my stay with Crystal Crown has been a decent one which I am grateful for. I will also be honest with you that there are quite number of areas which need to be improved, not only for the wellbeing of the next batch of guests, but also for the benefit of your staff members. Hence, I would like to provide some constructive suggestions. 1) Communications a) Clarity on the rules of food / items delivery. The RELA briefed us on the arrival day, but it was unclear as we were seated outdoor. A suggestion is to include pictures in your document. See the attached photo for illustration. Besides pasting the rules at the entrance, you could also print it out in black and white for every room, together with the welcome letter. I believe that once the rules are spelled out clearly, the guests will manage their expectations accordingly. b) Distribute the 14 days necessities (e.g. mineral waters, trash bag, toiletries) at one shot. This is also a good practice of Hotel Ramada. Not only the guests can ration the items based on their needs, it also saves your hotel staff the trouble of attending to the needs of the guests at all time. c) Discontinue the whatsapp group. I understand the intention of setting up the group is for emergency purpose. But we all clearly know that this is not the case. Unfortunately, the chat group becomes a platform of all sorts of stuff: from requesting the daily necessities, clarifying the same delivery rules, asking the staff to pick up and send food / items, to spamming the group of 198 people with complaints and feud, or even turning the group into personal chat room. I believe once point a) & b) are sorted out, there is less need to use the whatsapp group as the main channel of communication. We can always use the phone in our room to call the front desk for additional requests or attend to emergency matters. Respecting the guests’ privacy is very much appreciated. 2) Dietary Preferences a) Make the effort to collect guests’ dietary needs and be committed to attend to it. This is a basic etiquette and fundamentals of the hospitality industries. Peanut and seafood allergies can be severe and deadly. The health of people with medical conditions (e.g. diabetes) could be affected. Not to mention the vulnerable such as the elderly, young children and pregnant women. We are human after all, hence the importance of mutual respect – treat the guests the way you want to be treated. b) Look after the well-being of the vegetarians. I would like to speak up for the vegetarians, especially those who practise strict vegetarianism. They cannot to take onions, garlic, chives, green onions and leeks, as it cause anger and desi

The location of the hotel is not too far from immigration checkpoint. I like the spacious big room and toilet come with a bathtub. The only not satisfy of the the hotel is the wall and furniture look a bit old, not furnished new. There is no charging points near the bed. They have facilities of night pub, Spa and a mini pool in the hotel. Hotel breakfast is traditional lesi lemak, goreng , curry etc...not international food. Overall great stay for a cheap day trip.

Value for money. Booked the last minute and still had slots, and gotten a high floor room. However, there was a power outage at midnight but luckily it was fixed within 15 minutes. The doorbell seemed faulty too as it rang twice for no reason.

We just came back from a weekend birthday staycation. Our stay at Renaissance Hotel was a very comfortable one and the staff were extremely thoughtful to prepare a surprise setup in our room - complete with balloons, a printed birthday message with even little heart shapes, as well as a tasty slice of birthday cake and handwritten card! We were very touched by this gesture; thank you so much! Their breakfast buffet was also better than expected - great variety and good taste!

I was given a new room at level 2. Room is spacious and the king sized bed is very comfortable. It has both shower and bath tub. Overall room is marvellous. The only drawback was the breakfast. Not much food options.

Hotel location good & decent. Unfortunately there is no mini fridge, not enough plug socket for charging devices. Hotel room should have more charging point. Need to change location or add another place of hanging towel instead near the shelving in the toilet and the sink too low... Separate the mirror & hanging clothes area, as blocking the mirror when hanging clothes. Hope Hotel can improve.

Very suitable for families with young children. They have free shuttle at few places on scheduled timing, but more convenient to drive by car as its away from the city. Carpark is behind the front of the hotel but staff was very helpful to show us with map on how to get there in 2 minutes. Overall, the room is clean BUT there were 2-3 table tops which were sticky, we had to clean it ourselves, looks like sweet residue. There were also ants on the sink area & wall in 2 single-bedded bedroom. We are glad we had the privacy of 2 separate rooms, but we kept them opened. There is no view outside the window but we are okay with it. We still like it though as staff were very prompt, polite & helpful. We can feel the hospitality. There is a reasonable size gym with variety of equipment but no swimming pool. Maybe during checkout can remind us to let the counter tap our Touch & Go for complimentary parking, luckily there were many posters at the lobby to remind us to do so. Breakfast buffet was included, the spread is reasonable and the food was good considering its included in the room. Thumbs-up for the price which trip.com offer with my coins.
