Great property, prettiest beach!

We had the most wonderful time at this resort. The location is superb, offering breathtaking views from the beautifully and tastefully furnished villas. The staff and management are the warmest we’ve ever encountered. We’ve visited many island resorts, and while they are typically friendly, the team here is a few notches above the others. We had the pleasure of spending some time chatting with the friendly and down-to-earth owners, their five-star chef, who prepared special meals to accommodate our dietary restrictions, and the super helpful manager, Manish. They all went above and beyond to make this vacation truly memorable for us. As an added bonus, this place seems to be popular among celebrities and A-listers, who probably enjoy the quieter side of the island and the wonderful beach. We stayed at the resort during the cricket world cup and spotted several Aussie cricketers in the dining hall, who were in great spirits and happily agreed to take pictures with us.

We stayed August 2023. We loved our ocean front unit. The resort/community was stunning. It was offseason so the small beach felt like our private beach. There was another beach each side. We ate at Darkwood and Dennis’s on each beach as well as one night walking to Sheer rocks. I walked every day and each beach I came across was more stunning than the last. I loved it. We went through Coco reefs- great coffee! We rented a car a drove the island and loved Nelson dockyard. We drove up to the Shirley heights look outs but didn’t go to the bbq/party. We were there off-season so entertainment was pretty much non existent on site but we knew that. We were disappointed with the restaurant. It seemed like they were still finding their feet. I would say adding undisclosed relish or cheese to burgers for kids is not a good idea… Would we go back ..100% …..we looked up options to purchase…

The stunning Ffryes Beach was an absolute highlight of our stay. Your restaurant staff deserves special mention for their friendliness and attentiveness, which enhanced our dining experiences. We stayed at Tamarind Hills for 9 days and it was nothing short of a 5* experience. The property grounds were beautiful and well maintained! We were pleased with all the facilities this site had to offer (most especially the Pilates fitness class). I have stayed at renowned 5* hotels however Tamarind Hills has a special place in my heart and has left us wanting to come back. The staff here are so accommodating and friendly, they went above and beyond during our stay. I must acknowledge the astounding hospitality displayed by Addikarle, Bancroft, Obed, Terry, Kemet, Adriano, Marnesh and Cean. The staff here are such an asset to have and deserve much recognition! We have agreed to come back again because of this and now I understand why Tamarind Hills has so many repeat guests. My stay at the hotel was an absolute nightmare filled with disappointment and frustration. The staff managment and the owner displayed an appalling level of rudeness and lack of professionalism that left me speechless. The managerManish Goyal was the most nonchalant service Personsl I've ever met. His attitude was not only unprofessional but also bordered on outright hostility. To make matters worse, the hotel engaged in false advertising, luring guests with promises that were never fulfilled. The amenities that were boasted about were either non-existent or in a state of disrepair. It felt like a deliberate attempt to mislead and deceive guests, which is completely unacceptable. When I approached the management about my concerns, their response was dismissive and unapologetic. They seemed more interested in deflecting blame and avoiding responsibility than addressing the issues at hand. It was clear that customer satisfaction was not a priority for them. The hotel owner's behavior was equally disappointing. Instead of taking accountability for the poor experience, they displayed a condescending and arrogant attitude. It was evident that they had no intention of rectifying the situation or making amends. Overall, my experience at this hotel was nothing short of a nightmare. The rude staff management, false advertising, and lack of professionalism left me deeply dissatisfied. I would strongly advise against staying at this establishment, as it is clear that they prioritize profit over customer satisfaction.

Adriano and Bancroft were super friendly and welcoming. When I checked in at 5pm and interacted with both hosts, I couldn’t stop smiling. Excellent service, they’re both very detailed and charming. Ambience and aesthetics - 10/10. Would stay at Tamarind every given opportunity.

Our 5 night stay was so wonderful. Every one of the staff was so pleasant and welcoming and there to help with anything. We stayed in a one bedroom suite room which was located at the top of the hill. The mix of stairs and hills to walk was no joke but I will say the views from our room were so beautiful and probably nicer than the lower rise. They do have a shuttle but we opted for the exercise to work off all of the drinks and food. The beach was so gorgeous and clean. The location of the resort isn’t very walkable but there are a few things in walking distance that we checked like Dennis Beach Bar on Fryes Beach, Darkwood Beach and Aunti Cavells across the street. Otherwise the resort will arrange for a taxi to go anywhere. Shaine was our taxi driver and he was always available and very knowledgeable about the area and island. Jolly Harbour was the closest “town” that had the grocery store, bank machine and some good restaurants which was only about 5 min car ride. We checked out all of the areas on the island and agreed this location was the best. You can get to English Harbour in 35-40 mins for a day trip or go up to St Johns in 25-30 mins. This side of the island has the sunsets and they are absolutely beautiful at Tamarind Hills. If you want to be close to the action I would recommend staying more in Jolly Harbour but if you want a beautiful resort, beach, views, etc. Tamarind Hills is a great option. We would absolutely book again and would recommend to anyone.
