Polite & attentive staff. Good English that I had no problem communicating with them. The dinner & the breakfast are very authentic. I want to stay there again.

Excellent service, 2 public onsen but only 1 small open-air onsen although you can go to rukiroh onsen for free. Tasty breakfast but looking at others review, you can try the dinner set.

The hot spring Japanese-style hotel located in Kaga is quite satisfactory. The hotel provides free shuttle bus to and from JR Kaga Station. There is a mini hot spring and a massage chair in the room, which is a bit of a surprise. The only regret is that the dinner is average, but the portion is enough for girls.

Because you can check in at 3 o'clock, the earliest pick-up time is 2:10. I arrived at Kaga Station early around 11:00, so I took the bus there! This area is so quiet that it’s hard to find anyone to ask for directions. Fortunately, I happened upon a hotel clerk who had just gotten off work. She might be home and she would lead the way herself! The front desk is so friendly and polite, even if you arrive early you can store your luggage! You can only check in at 3:00🥲, and check out before 10 o'clock (too early). Generally, hotels can check out before 11 o'clock. I didn’t feel too crowded when I checked in, and the breakfast was rich. I didn’t expect the restaurant to be full during breakfast! Requires adapter

The hotel was not updated since 30 years ago, in the advertising there are some restaurants and karaoke and a lot of amenities, which, actually do not exist anymore. Does staff doesn’t speak any English or Japanese Are you sure so what is it QK during the night the staff during the day was OK speaking Japanese we tried to order some food and there was absolutely impossible so I had to walk to a convenience store in order to be able to have dinner. Everything it is an incredible bad condition.

First time in a Ryokan and we love it, wish I can stay more and enjoy more time. We book private bath and was really enjoyable.

This unique and very comfortable hotel offers excellent value and relaxation. The staff and facilities are top notch! This is definitely a place to come back to!

We had such a wonderful time. Very relaxing. Perfect employees (Warm welcome, helpful...). Nice to go around the city using hotel's yukata. I will go back for sure.

We booked this onsen on line ourselves. We have travelled to Japan before and have previously experienced other onsen and accompanying Kaiseki meals. We were a little surprised at the location of the onsen. It was in the suburbs. But maybe that was our fault. The area around did seem to be run down. There were a few sad looking shops around. Some were closed. Maybe because of Covid. Maybe it is not geared for foreign tourists. The building is not modern. It had a faded glory about it. It is large and rambling. Our room /suite had a private outdoor bath. We were actually on the fourth floor. The tap to the outdoor bath would not turn off and was continuously dripping. It was outside so didn't bother us but should have been obvious to staff. Likewise the cladding on one wall was coming off and the tiny garden was scruffy and full of dead leaves. This was disappointing and not up to the standard of other onsen we have stayed at previously. The room however were spotless. All the staff were very good, from check in, to the tea servers, the waiters and breakfast room attendants. The ladies got to choose the colour of the kimono they would wear for the evening, which was a nice touch. The Kaiseki meal was served in the restaurant which had bamboo blinds separating the various tables. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and thought the waiter did an excellent job juggling the tables. The wine was reasonably priced. The breakfast was buffet style and had an enormous choice. Sadly we had to catch an early complimentary shuttle to the station so we just had a quick breakfast, and truthfully we were still full from the meal the night before. We did not partake in the free ice cream or public onsen so can't comment here. The small gift shop was adequate but lacking in nice little souvenirs of the area. So all in all we had a good experience.

It was a great ryokan stay with phenomenal dining and onsen bathing services. Highly recommending to anyone who'd like to experience onsen.
