This is a hotel with history. That is, old.
There is a slight smell when you first enter the room, but you can ventilate by opening the window.
It is very attractive that parking is free at a hotel located downtown, and since there were not many guests, we were able to rent out the large public bathhouse. The sauna was not operating.
The view from the large bath located on the top floor is also quite nice.
The hot spring water quality is very good.

Right next to the Otorii of Terukuni Shrine. Tenmonkan Street is also within walking distance. The hotel itself has a taste of the late Showa or early Heisei era, and aging is noticeable everywhere. There are two elevators, but they are too small to be used by a large number of people. However, the room seemed to have been renewed, and I thought it was brighter and cleaner than the corridor and front desk. The bathroom in the room is not very large, but it is not a problem because it has a fairly large public bath, which is rare for this type of hotel. Instead, a bathing tax is required. Breakfast is a set menu, but there is a tremendous number of items.

It is located right in front of Terukuni Shrine, and the surrounding area is full of Tsurumaru Castle ruins, castle mountains, museums, etc. The location is very quiet and perfect for history buffs. There are many statues of Saigo around. The hotel's facilities are old, but from the 8th floor where I stayed, I could see Sakurajima directly in front of me, and the public bath was on the same floor, so it was very convenient. I had dinner at the izakaya in Tenmonkan, which is about a 7-8 minute walk away.
