Hotels near Lava Field From the Eruption During the Showa Period, Kagoshima

This hotel is far away from the train station and planetarium, so it is not suitable for independent travel, because the bus schedule is sp****, and the nearby shopping malls are older and more local, making it difficult to buy together. There is a bus terminal in Kamoike Port 300 meters away, and there are many taxis (the hotel can help call, and the taxi to the city center is 2200 yen). 2023年4月10日利用。 場所は鹿児島の繁華街でもある電停(路面電車)天文館の駅前で、バスの停車前にもありランドマーク的な存在だとも言えるかと思います。 確かに1階にはショッピングモールがあったり、最近のホテルという感じで、改装か新築された印象で館内は綺麗でした。 構造は7階がフロントで、8階から14階が客室。15階がレストランで朝飯もこちらになり、天気の良い日は桜島も見え、鹿児島らしい地元の料理が出た点では文句無いかと思います。 しかし減点となったのは以下の点 ●ホテルの車止めが無いところ 駐車場が少し離れたところにあるため荷物がある場合、どうしても車止めは必要かと思います。もう構造上仕方ないのですが、車で来た場合重い荷物を運ぶのにはやや辛いかなという印象を受けました。 ●提携駐車場がやや遠い チェックアウトの時晴れてる(雨天ではない場合)なら特段問題ないのですけど、雨が降っていたらややキツいかなと言う印象を受けました。 ●朝のレストラン 内容は問題ないのですが名物「鶏飯」(けいはん)目当てに来ている宿泊者が多いと思います。 しかし、補充が足りないというか出汁と米だけ残っており、具材補充の頻度が遅いかなという印象。 食材を大切にする気持ちは理解しますけど少し疑問が ●廊下の音響問題 たまたまなんですけど夜23時頃の話。 フロント階にタバコを吸いに行った時、廊下を歩いていると他の室内からですが中の音が聞こえて来たのには少し閉口してしまいました。 場所柄もあるのか解りませんが所謂オトナのお遊びの音なんですけど、防音はもう少し何とかして欲しいかなと感じました。 色々書きましたが、基本室内もレストランも綺麗ですし鹿児島では悪くないレベルのホテルかと思います。 確かに鹿児島では城山とかサンロイヤルが有名ですけど、便利性、値段を勘案するとこの先良いホテルになるのではないかと期待しております

The Sherton Hotel in Kagoshima was an absolute gem of a hotel! This is our first visit to Japan, and we are admittedly nervous about the language barrier and cultural change from the US. From the moment we checked in, the staff has bent over backwards to make sure we are comfortable and have done a fantastic job to make this stay completely comfortable and enjoyable. The location is perfect right at the center of downtown Kagoshima, and the rooms, restaurants, and common spaces have more in common with a Four Seasons than with what is standard Sheraton in the US. We were not able to take advantage of the spa, but the Onsen (Hot Springs Sauna) was so relaxing and rejuvenating — especially after 26 hours of flights to get here! HIGHLY recommended. Thank you to the staff that has helped make our 4 days in Kagoshima a memorable experience! Now off to Hiroshima!

It is a business hotel located in the downtown Tenmonkan in Minami Kyushu, but it was only called ”Rem”, and I was able to sleep well as rarely for me to sleep until I was woken up by the alarm clock. The city trams and buses are running on the road right in front of me, but I didn't care about the noise at all. １ I had breakfast at the talis in the building because it was breakfast for the night, but it was quite well organized and substantial. I was able to choose from hot dog pancake toast.

Except for the compact room, everything else is satisfactory. The breakfast is very good, the hot spring is also good, there is a round-trip bus from the hotel to Kagoshima Central, the hotel departure time is 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour, and the departure time from Kagoshima Central West Exit to the hotel is also 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour. The shuttle bus starts at 6 am and ends at 10 pm. The hotel is worth experiencing!

Hotel can be accessed directly from the JR underpass, towards basement of hotel building. Tram station conveniently located in front of hotel. Hotel faces JR Station. Room is cozy with plenty of wall sockets. Good value for money. Room had lovely view of Mt Sakurajima.

100% convenient. You can reached via shinkasen on the last train and not worry about to catch the last bus or walk on quiet road to hotel. The hotel entrance is the same level on the exit JR platform. From the photo of entrance and exit of family mart , left is the hotel right is the JR. Less than 5 minutes from hotel check in counter to JR. Room is cleaned. I love the availability of 3 choices of bath salt. Self service.. just scoop the number of salt you want. Room is quiet and no sojnd from the JR or road. Only the breakfast is not muslim friendly. The room is not small. Just nice. Happy to stay and strongly recommend.

By the way, according to my husband, it is wise to refrain from using the men's open-air bath during bright hours. For the dishes, I asked for a black pork shabu-shabu with a cup of Izo Mori. We had a relaxing meal in a corner space that can be used by 8 adults in the digging ceremony. The content is so rich that I can't eat it, and I'm very satisfied with the amount of main pork that I think there will be 2 ～ 3 servings in Tokyo. The next morning's Japanese food was not a buffet, so I was able to relax and relax at the set, and I was able to take out coffee on my way home.
