The restaurant has a small but tasty selection for dinner. The bar has a reasonable selection at reasonable prices for the area. The swimming pool facility are available for a small fee (7.40 EUR), with a direct entrance from inside the hotel. The staff were very friendly and the location is a very short walk across the bridge into Kajaani city center. The only down side was the gym. It is supposed to be accessible via an app with a code given by the hotel. The app was absolutely useless in English - no functionality at all. The front desk staff tried to help get it to work in the Finnish language version, but even they couldn’t get it sorted out for me. No access, so basically no gym facilities. This was the only critique for the weeklong stay.
