The Westin Princeville Ocean Resort Villas

Beautiful Property, Excellent Service

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Princeton Westin resort. Only complaints are that the room carpet looked a little old, the onsite restaurant which was excellent is not open for breakfast. I Also think an outside bar would be something they should consider. Other than that it was great! The resort is beautiful and we loved watching the nene geese on the lawn

The Westin Princeville is a nice play to stay. It aims to provide a luxury experience and generally lives up to this. Positives include the attractive grounds, beautiful pool area, and lots of amenities and service. I rated it 4 stars instead of 5 because of higher cost and a few small issues (air conditioning needed repairing - service was quick, and hot tub at pool was not working). Also, the view is nice, but no direct access to the beach.

Our family has stayed here a couple of times. Kauai is a very relaxing slow paced place to unwind for the summer. The staff is accommodating and responsive. Foodland is a hop away. Very nice hike down to a small private lagoon area should you wish. Cute activities for kids at the resort everyday. Short drive to Hanalei Bay. You must have a car when staying in Princeville. We are definately coming back.

One restaurant is disappointing.

Amazing location huge property beautiful rooms.

I recently stayed at Westin Princeville, and unfortunately, my experience was marred by the unprofessional behavior of the front desk manager Kala Hoapili. Upon arrival, there was a problem with our reservation—it appeared to be missing from their system. While I understand that such issues can happen, the manager’s attitude in resolving the matter was incredibly rude and lacked any empathy. Instead of trying to help us find a solution, he accused us of not having a reservation at all and refused to consider that it could have been a mistake from the reservation department. His unwillingness to listen and his accusatory tone were the worst I’ve seen from anyone in the hospitality industry. It’s disappointing to encounter such behavior in a place where customer service should be paramount. I hope Westin addresses this issue to prevent future guests from experiencing the same treatment.

We have been visiting Hawaii and this hotel for the last 8 years. For a resort on the Hawaiian islands this is by far the greatest in my opinion. The beauty of Kauai is it is quiet, lush, green and nothing can be taller than a coconut tree landscape and an energy. We can’t have it both ways - fancy, new modern builds while maintaining the heart of what makes Kauai, Kauai. Visiting Hawaii is about seeing the islands including the hikes, beaches, surfing, boating and JoJo’s. If you are looking for an upscale resort where you just sit in the sun and have everything around you within steps go to Cancun where you pretty much HAVE to stay in one place. Hawaii should be explored. While the rooms can use some updating they are perfectly fine and clean. The pool is spectacular. The views and grounds are stunning. The restaurant on property should be a last resort because there are so many others to try, but it is perfectly adequate though expensive the rooms all have kitchenettes so go pick up the freshest fish ever at the foodland and enjoy your family while grilling.

Horrible customer service… been to all the Westin villas in Hawaii, have been an owner for 15 yrs. By far the worst property ever!!! The pool was the best thing, as were the views! The housekeeping could be a be lot better, the only positive was the check in process.. We had a so called reservation made in Hanalei for 11 ppl, we get there and the hostess said we don’t take reservations, she was lovely and made it work!!!! The restaurant was called Happy Talk, lovely staff there and food and view were excellent! And on our last day here, we had a cabana for the 4 th time and this b particular person told us we had to clean it
