Parat hotel was very good with friendly staff. The room we had was not to big but felt bigger due to plenty storage. The towels were changed every day and the room was very clean. Breakfast was good with a good variety of bread, cheese, fruit, yogurt, cereals,or you could an omelette made in front of you with your own filling by the chef. The pool area was really nice with plenty of sun beds. The pool bar was great with friendly staff and was well stocked with drink and food, and lots of seats in the shade if you wanted a restbite from the heat of the sun. Great hotel. Kalkan resort itself is very hilly and not very good if you are not very steady on your feet. I have never seen so many restaurants in such a small resort but again, the eating area is usually two flights up onto the top floor for the views, but there are restaurants on a lot of the small lanes with tables outside. The food in most of the restaurants were cooked to a high standard but this year we found it expensive especially when you include the price of your drinks. Would we go back to Kalkan probably yes, but a word of warning , there are a lot of dogs and cats which are allowed it seems to wander the streets and restaurants, most are very friendly but I did not like them in the same place as we were eating . These dogs were on the streets all night and we were kept awake with the barking and fighting
