We stayed in a tree house at Marmalade Springs for 4 nights at the end of June 2023. The accommodation and the view is stunningly beautiful. The staff is extremely helpful and service is good. The approach to the property is a good 20-25 mins of off-roading - which the property arranges. Please do not attempt to drive this but by yourselves :) Once you reach the property, enjoy the view, nature and privacy. Breakfast was included in our package and we had to inform in advance if we would like to have lunch/dinner at the resort. The food was great. They also arranged a campfire on Saturday night when it was not raining. It was an awesome experience to sit in the moonlight with all the co-travellers, singing and talking together. We would like to call out the property manager - Sunil - who is helpful and polite. He ensured that we were comfortable and he provided a handwritten itinerary for us on Day1 - we really appreciated that.

We have booked Marmalade springs for 2 days during our wayanad stay. Its a fantastic property with ample enough space to explore and soak into the beauty of nature. The cottages were pretty good to stay. The only issue is that there is a 1 km off roading from a point to the resort which needs to be done by Jeep. Its a thrilling experience but can be an issue for people with back pain and I may not recommend for elders. Overall a great place to stay, management helped a lot during the whole time and made every one of us very comfortable. Thanks, Mainak

We stayed there on Christmas Eve 2022. Paid Rs 7036 for the stay + Rs.1105 for food. IT WAS NOT WORTH IT. The drive up is adventurous, no doubt, but slight mistake by the driver and your relatives will never find your remains. As the property website says, it is on the second highest peak in Kerala. The road up is very bad. It takes half an hour for one side journey. The back ache following the ride is another experience in itself. The location is good, but you get good views only from few cottages. There are many small areas to explore in the property, but not worth the price charged. For someone who expect to relax there, you would have good supply of food rather than explore the property. The worst part is- food! They encourage to have lunch outside and come. They do not expect you to get hungry in the evening. The manager insisted we eat only biscuits! After requesting more, did we get pakodas and tea. That too you have to inform them 2 hours early. You wont get properly sealed water bottles here. There is NO functional restaurant, for a self proclaimed 4 star hotel. Dinner was a disappointment. We were told dinner would be ready by 9 but it was ready only around 10 ish. I wont comment on the taste as it differs from person to person, but for the amount charged, we expect a good variety of food, which wasn't provided here. Grilled chicken was completely dry. Breakfast was the worst part of the stay! Breakfast is served at 9 am. Only bread - omelette and puttu - sabzi ***** with tea/coffee!! It was sheer waste of money. We can stay in 5 star hotels at this price and get better service and food. We stayed at a budget resort before arriving here and it had better breakfast/ dinner spread and better facilities than this so called 4 star resort. During payment, card payment was not working. reason given- their KYC was not in place. My opinion is, if you charge a hefty price, we expect it to be justified. NOT RECOMMENDED.

I was there for 2N-3D in May 2022 with wife and kids. The property is great, there is no doubt about that. The coffee plantation, wooden cottages and the view is amazing. But there are certain disadvantages with this beauty- 1. The resort is located on a hill. You have to park your vehicle at the bottom and then take their Jeep to reach the resort which itself is quite an adventure. They don't have a kitchen and that means there is no room service or food availability during the day. They only serve Breakfast and Lunch/Dinner. I'm not so sure about whether lunch is served because I was always encouraged to have lunch outside. And Since you can't casually go out for food, You have to plan it carefully (You can not go on your own . You have to wait for their vehicle to be available which will droop you to parking and pick you from there). This was the biggest problem since if you are planning to stay there and not roam around in the city, you definitely want to have something between lunch and dinner and you have no option except Tea/Coffee. 2. Their restaurant where dinner is served is an open restaurant. In the night when it rained, we could see all sorts of insects flying there. There were a few frogs on the tables and on the wall.. It was a bit disgusting and all I did was quickly finished the dinner. I was scared that something may jump in my food . It would have been better if it was closed or have an option to have it in a closed / open restaurant. If you like food, make sure you check with them before booking. I did not find the food to be good and with some variety.. I have had better food on Himalaya treks.but then that is individual preference.
