Hotels near City Mills, Kandy

The small resort is somewhat hidden in the middle of the tea plantations near Nawalapitiya. It can be reached by taxi in 4 hours from Bandaranaike Airport. Room/Bungalow The spacious bungalows are furnished in a colonial style. We moved into a very clean bungalow. You have to be aware that the resort is in the middle of nature and that little visitors can get lost in the bungalow through small gaps (e.g. under doors) over the course of the days and nights. We didn't see any dangerous animals, so it didn't bother us. There is no daily room service. At night you can watch fireflies through the large window, and in the morning you can be woken up by monkeys or squirrels on the roof. We liked this as well as the magnificent view from the large panoramic window into the green valley. Food As vegetarians, we really appreciated the local cuisine of Sri Lanka. Activities Requested trips to Adams Peak and several waterfalls were organized and realized by tuk-tuk ;-). At afternoon tea we were introduced to the new luxury house tent prototype that is still under construction. The tea factory spontaneously gave us a private tour and sells fantastic tea. Lovers will get their money's worth. General manager, chef and their team were very hospitable and responded to our wishes. What does the addition “& Spa” stand for? There is a pool but it seems very neglected. We would come back at any time.

This hotel in Kandy will break your bad impression of the past hotel. Although this hotel is not big, it is absolutely clean and tidy, the floor is clean, and the room is also. Breakfast is simple but in line with our public taste. The boss and the proprietress are very nice, and booking17 is 9.4 points in the year, and it is highly recommended to love clean friends!

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the train station and bus station, and a five-minute walk to Kandy Lake and the Temple of Tooth Relic. It is also because there will be some locals staying in this way. It is recommended not to book a bed. Unfortunately, I ran into an unfriendly local. Fortunately, the staff were more reliable. Because it was only a small break in Kandy, it was set up a hotel closer to the train station. When I checked in, I was told that I was registered as a person. Two people had to receive another 12 knives. It felt a bit pitted. I was particularly nervous about the hotel after a long time, because only one person's information was filled. Breakfast is not bad, 5 knives and one person, personal feeling is not cheap.

Good budget hotel, slap bang in the middle of the city but surprisingly the rooms are quiet as they are situated at the back. Booked room only so cannot comment on the hotel food, but plenty of eating places around and just 10 minutes to the Railway station. The entrance to the hotel can be crowded as it is with the pavement and there are street hawkers selling goods, but safe all the same and you get lots of cheap stuff that you can buy along the pavement. The hotel rooms are rather small but have the basic amenities in place and should be ok for couples. This hotel has easy access to the ATM nachines, supermarkets and bakeries. The shopping center is very close and even the historical sights light the Temple of the tooth is walking distance. Parking may be a problem for those coming in vehicles although I am sure the Hotel can arrange this for you. Please check though before booking. All in all a good stay, no hassles.

The hotel with a sense of history, especially the elevator, is a bit interesting. It is very close to the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple and Kangxi Lake. It takes about 5 minutes to walk. It is not convenient to park at the entrance. We have a breakfast and dinner, and things are quite rich. It is quite satisfactory to eat along the way in Sri Lanka. The hotel staff is also very nice, and the quiet room is so the view outside the window is poor.
