The old five-star hotel is located on the Mahaweli River, the mother river of Sri Lanka. It is a must-have hotel for Kandy people to get married. The British service standard is very good. We had our wedding at Mahaweli Reach this December and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was handled in a friendly and professional manner. The food was incredible. The management was helpful and efficient. Following the wedding we enjoyed a two night stay. The Balinese spa is exactly what you need after a tiring and stressful event. The servers Nadeesha and Samanthika were the very best. The whole staff made us feel welcome and at home the entire time. It was a wonderful experience from beginning to end.

Die Zimmer und die Umgebung sind etwas abgewohnt. Der Service ist sehr gut, alle sind freundlich besonders Nadeesha ist sehr zuvorkommend, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein Stadthotel der etwas anderen Art. Muss man mal besucht haben und einfach genießen.

We liked this hotel, smart inside with views over the pools and the river. The staff were excellent, the buffet was good, plenty of choices. Our room was big and spacious with all facilities on hand. It was my birthday and the staff made a special effort producing a birthday cake and singing happy birthday, which was a lovely surprise. Thank you.
