Small, comfortable and friendly hotel in a quieter area of Kandy. The food was delicious, we had different vegetarian Sri Lankan meals for two evenings sitting in comfort on the balcony. The staff were excellent in looking after us, would highly recommend.

Charmantes Ambiente, super tolle Küche und zuvorkommendes freundliches Personal. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause. Wir haben 2 Nächste verbracht und fühlten uns sehr wohl und willkommen. Keine Mühe war dem Personal sowie dem Chef zu viel um es uns gemütlich zu machen. Auch auf die Intoleranz gegen Gluten wurde Rücksicht genommen und das Menü angebpasst. Einfach super !!

2 night stay as part of a 10 day holiday
Lovely boutique hotel made even more special by the people who work here. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, an excellent en-suite shower room, and a balcony with a view over the pool. The downstairs lounge and breakfast area were also spacious and lovely. Dinner was served outside on a balcony overlooking the front. Dinners were lovely Sri Lankan curries and the portions were very big. Too big for us but delicious! Breakfasts were also lovely, fresh fruit and honey curd followed by a choice of eggs and bacon and sausage if wanted. Clove Villa is very peaceful and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds. It is well-placed to spend time in Kandy, visit the relic of the tooth temple and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Particular thanks to Umesh (the chef) and Danushka who made our short stay very special.

Beautiful hotel in Kandy. The lounge & dining area were lovely and so were the bedrooms. The team there were very friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The swimming pool was small but looked lovely although we didn’t use it as it rained the whole time we were in Kandy!

This Guesthouse is such a Gem in Kandy. Beautiful rooms, outstanding breakfast, spotless clean. The staff is so fantastic. You can not find better staff than at Clove Villa. If you want to go to Kandy, choose this beautiful guesthouse. You will not regret it, I promise.

Wir waren in der Clove Villa für 2 Nächte. Was wir dort erlebten war absolute Spitze. Ein sehr schönes Zimmer mit Whirlpool war wirklich top. Die Behandlung seitens der Mitarbeiter war einzigartig. Wir konnten das Abendessen frei auswählen, jeder Wunsch wurde uns seitens des Kochs erfüllt. Auch das Service allen voran Danu ließen keine Wünsche offen. Ich kann die Clove Villa uneingeschränkt empfehlen und würde jederzeit wieder kommen. Claudia K.
