From the moment we arrived at this hotel, the service was truly excellent. We arrived early, but were still able to check in. We were greeted with cold refreshing coconut drinks and snacks, and the most helpful, lovely staff. Our room was beautiful, very stylish, with a small balcony, lovely bathroom (great toiletries!) and extremely comfortable bed. Perfect! The breakfasts were delicious, such a varied choice of food, with good coffee! We are vegan but there was plenty for us to eat. Day 2 we had freshly prepared hoppers filled with lentil dahl - so yummy! Location is ideal, very close to the lake and not far from the train station. We bumped into a gentleman who works at the hotel when we were out exploring (he was off-duty at the time but recognized us from when we checked in) and he was SUPER helpful, walking with us for a while, pointing out some interesting places to go, and he even helped us buy tickets for a traditional dance show. We were only in Kandy for 2 nights, but really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Highly recommend.

This hotel is on the mountain. There are many hotels on the mountain in Kandy. The road is very narrow. The driver took the wrong turn several times at night and finally arrived. The welcome candy at the door was not very tasty. We arrived too late and the children were exhausted. We didn't pay much attention to the room, but it was quite clean and the price was very affordable. The breakfast the next day was also rich in variety. There were many crows outside. We took breakfast and ate it outside. The crows came and took away a piece of bread. We were shocked.

The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

We stayed in the spacious and pristine King Suite. We loved the delicious food, especially the rice & curry and tropical fruit. The hotel is set in a peaceful and beautiful oasis with a lovely view. All of the staff members, including the housekeeping staff, were very kind and attentive. Our housekeeper even made elaborate towel sculptures of Sri Lankan animals. Bravo!

The room was clean and comfortable. Sitting in the lobby and around the swimming pool is very comfortable, you can be in a daze all day long! The surrounding environment is very good. There is a lake next to the hotel and a small hill opposite. Wake up in the morning and listen to the birds singing, by the way, there are many crows here๐

The reserved room bedroom has a loft that can sleep 3-4 people. The public areas and rooms are well decorated and maintained. The location is not far from the city center, but close to the road and railway. It is noisy at other times except at night. The hot water switch was hidden in the closet and was not turned on when checking in. There were no additional instructions. The front desk got off work at 10pm and could not be contacted, so I had to take a cold shower. There was a small gecko in the bathtub. Except for the soup, dinner was pretty unpalatable. The two types of fish I ordered were overcooked, dry, bitter, and maybe burnt. When I first checked in at 2 pm, I wanted to have laundry delivered to me. I was told that if I picked it up before departure the next morning, there would be an additional fee. However, I checked into another hotel of the same brand the day before and had laundry delivered at 10 pm the next morning before checking out. Washing, drying and ironing are done for free. Whatโs also strange is that the front desk helps you fill out the satisfaction survey feedback when leaving the store and asks you to sign it, while the previous one asked you to fill it out realistically. When you see the high score, you are also asked to provide suggestions for improvement. The difference in service awareness is evident.

The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didnโt want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.

W15 was a fantastic experience that it's even hard to put into words. We came for 2 nights and everything was flawless and outstanding: the views, the room, the music, the food, and most specially, the people and the amazing hospitality. Since we arrived, Sheriff, Tharaka, Hastha and Premod were truly professional, kind and would solve anything we asked for. They never gave us a โnoโ as an answer. Even when my husband asked if by any chance there was anyone who could get him a haircut in the hotel, they did everything and managed to find a hairdresser from town to come and cut his hair. Other examples: I asked if they had apples, and instead of giving me a โnoโ as an answer, they went to get some. I asked if they had dry cleaning service and they coordinated everything so they could send it to a speciallized place in town. We have so many other examples in which they were always making their best to delight us, and they succeeded, exceeding all of our expectations. The property is simply beautiful. You almost feel like you're in a retreat. We were lucky we had to do โhomeofficeโ so we had the opportunity of staying in the hotel the entire time and enjoy the calm and feeling of being at home. Thank you SO much W15. Looking forward on coming back again (hopefully soon!)

EEnglish RoseMisty Hills Villa Kadugannawa boasts the most incredible view over local mountains, best enjoyed if you are taking a cooling dip in the (small, but perfectly positioned) infinity pool! My husband and I were very well looked after during our short stay. The hotel staff served lovely breakfasts, organised two dinners for us and booked a tuk tuk for a day trip to Kandy. They also surprised me with a beautiful little cake on my birthday and even sang to me! The only small points I would make is that the dinners are not actually cooked on site - and that the staff did not offer to clean or make up our bedroom during our 3 night stay. Nevertheless, much kindness and warmth was demonstrated towards us and we loved the rural position of the property.

We had an amazing Stay. Nothing to complain about. Very hospitable staff always catering to your needs and friendly. It was full during our stay but they always made sure to check in on us without any partiality. The view from our room was stunning and the food was great! highly recommend this hotel to foreigners as well as Lankans. Ps. Got a chance to chat with the owner of the hotel and got to know that they are environment friendly no plastic wastage and also use bio gas.

DDalkanoWhen I opened the room, there was a musty smell. Since it was a view room with a curtain wall on the exterior, the windows could not be opened. The air conditioner had to be turned on at full power for half an hour before the musty smell gradually dissipated.
The location is not far from the top of the mountain, far away from Kandy Lake, and the lake cannot be seen from the rooftop observation deck. The facilities are okay, the service attitude is okay, and the food tastes great.
Overall not recommended.

Originally booked for one night, however on arrival I was unwell. Chulanka could not of been more helpful. He arranged transport to the hospital and went with us and stayed until he knew what was wrong. He then returned three hours later to collect us and take us back to Red Hill. He had prepared chicken soup especially for me, although no appetite it was lovely and very welcome. In Addition he prepared another meal for my travelling companion. We decided to stay another day to rest and were looked after by Chulanka and his staff. They went out of their way to ensure I had everything needed preparing tea to drink and king coconut for health !!! We appreciated the kindness of both Chulanka and his staff and would recommend Red Hill Kandy for its hospitality, kindness and food. Fantastic views of Kandy for the bedroom not to be missed, as well as comfortable and welcoming.

.The hotel is beautiful..located just around a 10 minute walk along the lake from Temple of the Tooth basically out of the hotel and turn right and keep walking and you cannot miss it! The staff we think went completely above and beyond for us on our stay.. We got scammed down at the market and when we told the Manager /Owner he was clearly upset that this had happened to us in Kandy. He helped us out by ringing the police etc. Also the restaurant man Neval also was lovely and friendly and even came to see if we were OK when he saw us on his way home in town! All staff are fantastic and a credit to the hotel. The hotel itself is just gorgeous.. Very well decorated. Our room was very luxurious. A massive bed looking out to the lake which was the most comfortable bed we have slept in whilst we have been here. The views from our huge verandah attached are spectacular also. We had a delicious breakfast also..fresh fruit.. Fresh juice.. Toast..omelette.. Cakes and jams and fresh tea. Gorgeous. If we are ever in Kandy again we will definitely be back! Thank you to all staff for helping us and making our stay so much more memorable.

The view is very good, the environment is OK, the building is very distinctive, including the decoration of the room, but the worst thing is that the hygiene is very worrying, the door is a bit old, the refrigerator is so dirty that you can't get it off, and there are stains under the toilet seat There were urine stains and hair on the bed. The bed was two beds pushed together and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The quilt was a sheet and was too tight to pull out. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately, there was a blanket in the cabinet to cover it with. Regarding the food, itโs not good either.

HHUIThe hotel is located in the center of Kandy, near the Kandy Lake. The English communication at the front desk is no problem. The rooms are in good condition. The facilities are newer. There is no toothbrush, toothpaste and slippers.

VVonnyclareStaff were wonderful, so helpful and took time to help me plan a full day as I only had one day in Kandy. They also gave me suggestions for my trip after Kandy also. The gym was fantastic to have and the pool. Kettle and fridge in the rooms. Located very near to the city Centre of Kandy. Really worth the reasonable price! Really personal touchโฆmuch appreciated! Would totally recommend!
