Hotel Sunray

Kandy Central
Staff were wonderful, so helpful and took time to help me plan a full day as I only had one day in Kandy. They also gave me suggestions for my trip after Kandy also. The gym was fantastic to have and the pool. Kettle and fridge in the rooms. Located very near to the city Centre of Kandy. Really worth the reasonable price! Really personal touch…much appreciated! Would totally recommend!
The Grand Kandyan

Kandy Central
The bed was comfy. The view was amazing. The staff were very friendly. The location is very close to downtown but up a hill so very very quiet. The food is good, EXCEPT the mutton biryani. Don't order the Mutton Biryani it was just tough fatty meat that you couldn't chew unless you want to feel like you're chewing on an old piece of gum.

I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the entire Tree of Life team for the exceptional support and wonderful service provided. Our team is extremely happy with the experience, and we were particularly impressed by the top-notch food. Hats off to Chef Debahaduwa, who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort with his mouth-watering dishes. On behalf of the management, I would like to personally thank each and every one of you for your dedication and commitment. A special mention goes to Koshila for arranging a better rate and excellent offer, and to Mr. Kapila for ensuring a smooth check-in and seamless check-out experience. Your warm service truly stood out. I also want to acknowledge Jackie, Sisira, and Sajee & the entire F&B Team for their attentive service, which was delivered without any fuss. You all played a part in making our day truly wonderful, and we are already looking forward to returning and enjoying the serene natural ambiance once again. Greetings from Team AVANI

Kandy Lake Front
The staff was very good and clean hotel. The room is large and the hot water in the shower comes out firmly. It has a kitchen and is suitable for long stays, which is very good for this price. I felt like a beautiful business hotel, not a resort. Because it is built on the mountain, ants and so on are in the room, but I didn't care. It is a difficult location far from the city and on foot.
Earl's Regency Hotel

Kandy Central
The hotel itself and its facilities are fantastic. The rooms are nice and the food is absolutely superb. Unfortunately the service in the restaurant was really poor, which made this stay absolutely unpleasant. We were given dirty table cloths (and they didn’t want to replace it after asking for it), our table was given to someone else while we were at the buffet, we had to order drinks several times until finally served, we were given the bill to sign while still eating the main dish (not even dessert) and actually wanted to order more drinks, after being seated, we had to wait min 10 min to place orders for drinks or get silverware etc. From a 5* hotel we definitely expected something better. This is the only hotel during our trip, where we experienced bad service. which is a pity, as otherwise the hotel is really nice. We would not book it again.
The Tea Cottage Resort & Spa
3.9/521 Reviews
The small resort is somewhat hidden in the middle of the tea plantations near Nawalapitiya. It can be reached by taxi in 4 hours from Bandaranaike Airport. Room/Bungalow The spacious bungalows are furnished in a colonial style. We moved into a very clean bungalow. You have to be aware that the resort is in the middle of nature and that little visitors can get lost in the bungalow through small gaps (e.g. under doors) over the course of the days and nights. We didn't see any dangerous animals, so it didn't bother us. There is no daily room service. At night you can watch fireflies through the large window, and in the morning you can be woken up by monkeys or squirrels on the roof. We liked this as well as the magnificent view from the large panoramic window into the green valley. Food As vegetarians, we really appreciated the local cuisine of Sri Lanka. Activities Requested trips to Adams Peak and several waterfalls were organized and realized by tuk-tuk ;-). At afternoon tea we were introduced to the new luxury house tent prototype that is still under construction. The tea factory spontaneously gave us a private tour and sells fantastic tea. Lovers will get their money's worth. General manager, chef and their team were very hospitable and responded to our wishes. What does the addition “& Spa” stand for? There is a pool but it seems very neglected. We would come back at any time.
