We were guaranteed the pool (a big draw for the hotel) would be open the next morning before we checked out. It was still closed the next day and we were rushed out of our room before check out time by housekeeping. Great location but just about everything else about this hotel is average. Not worth the price point.

We are from out of town and attending a Chiefs game for the first time. After doing hotel research, we made the correct decision and picked The Fontaine. Our notable experience was with Jesse at the front desk. She is friendly & knowledgeable

This was a miserable stay. We had booked the hotel for 3 nights and ended up checking out after the first night and requesting a refund. The AC was down, it would blow air but without cooling. We had to sleep in 78 degrees. After we asked 3 different people to send someone to fix it, the engineer finally came over and told us it can’t be fixed. It was an issue affecting multiple rooms and they were already aware of it but said nothing. Shower door would not close. After getting in the shower my husband realized there was no shampoo. They did not do house keeping when we requested it. We visit KC often, but after this experience, we don’t plan to stay at this hotel ever again.

The Fontaine has so much potential but just doesn’t live up to what it could be. The lobby area and rooms are attractive but the little things such as cleanliness & service are lacking. Once you get waited on, the staff is great & accommodating, however it takes forever for them to wait on you. I did see managers talking with staff & vacuuming halls etc towards the end of my stay, so I believe there is hope. The location is superb & again the hotel is pretty. I believe if they focus on the small things it will be an excellent place to stay.
