The check-in started off well with a friendly check-in, vouchers for a compliment drink on the terrace bar. We were advised breakfast started at 7:30 but as we needed to leave at 7:40 the receptionist said it wasn’t a problem to go down earlier as they would be putting everything out.
Unfortunately the older guy on reception the following morning decided to charge us for the complimentary drink…. and also the water at breakfast! Plus it was very obviously we were not welcome earlier in the breakfast room….
Really disappointing end to such a great start… hence why I didn’t question the change you owed me (€2) when we paid in full for the accommodation when we checked in… Normally when the bill is €268 and you hand over €270, change is given.
Fortunately for us there are lots of lovely looking hotels in the surrounding streets

Unfortunately, Saxonia is not easy to find and the location is not great either... rooms are new and very clean... no view, garbage cans in front of the windows that are either emptied at 5am or searched by bums... not acceptable! Unacceptable parking, 20 minutes to walk up and down hills! And then you have to pay €15.00 for that - a joke! You can have the car brought to you - I don't need it... breakfast is OK but not exceptional for 4 stars... service not attentive either and only refilled after asking... Pavel at reception was very helpful and nice. Unfortunately, the hotel is no longer an option for us, the LOCATION is too exposed... Look for a hotel that offers parking on site...

Romantic hotel in the heart of Karlovy Vary. Completely renovated and the staff is suuuuuper. Unfortunately, one big negative point: the parking lot!! You have to drive the car 3 km up a mountain and pick it up again there. Not for people with walking difficulties.

Excellent hotel services, breakfast and wellness. Very professional team. The hotel is perfectly located, few minutes walk tonthe city centre, but in a very silent area. Rooms are completely new with a very nice equipment and a big bathroom.

I have rarely had such a comfortable mattress, which is no surprise, as the house has been recently renovated. But everything else was excellent too: a lovely, large room with a good view of the surrounding hills and forests, and you could also see a bit of the old town. The furnishings are very tasteful, the bathroom is big enough and also very nice. Breakfast: a wonderful buffet, new delicacies every day, everything from sweet to savory, fresh fruit and vegetables, if you wish you can have espresso, cappuccino and so on instead of filter coffee, a very pleasant breakfast room. And there is also a sauna and massage facilities in the house - also very pleasant. The Hotel Saxonia is highly recommended, also because it is very centrally located. Barely five minutes to the center, the Market Colonnade and the Sprudel Colonnade (new 1970s building, takes some getting used to, a strong contrast to the buildings around it). Parking: it is a bit far away, but an employee brought my car there after we unloaded our luggage in front of the house - an employee helped with that, by the way. And last but not least: all the staff were very friendly and helpful. Among other things, they gave good tips about restaurants, leisure activities, etc.

What a really good find. The hotel in brand new, immaculate and kept very clean. The rooms are comfortable with all the facilities you need. and the wifi works very well. Breakfast was excellent. The staff without exception were very helpful and gave us all the sightseeing info we needed. Location wise the hotel is 150 metres from the centre of town and there's even a city lift close to the hotel if you don't want to walk up the hill. We really enjoyed our stay here.

Exceptionally friendly staff, very nice and clean rooms, excellent breakfast with different food options daily. Everything you need you can find in your hotel room. The location is perfect in the heart of the spa area and everything is near the hotel.

Recently opened, completely new, modern hotel. Very attentive, caring staff. Comfortable bed, choice of pillows. Snow-white towels in sufficient quantities, good shower cosmetics. Delicious, varied breakfasts, which change daily (very rare). I will definitely be returning!
