We had a great stay at Rabina's. We were on the ground floor in an apartment with two bedrooms just for us. It is ideally located a 15-minute walk from the Thamel district. Rabina and her husband are really adorable. He was the one who came to pick us up with his very comfortable car and dropped us off at the airport. (Paid service of course but reasonable price just like the laundry which is possible). They both speak French perfectly. I highly recommend this address, you will not be disappointed.

Shine Homestay is a very nice house, well equipped, in a good location and with a very welcoming family in Kathmandu. It's run by a very nice french speaking couple Rabina and Rishi, and they provide all the help you need, you can share a tea or coffee in their kitchen as they offer these moments frequently. There is a well furnished communal kitchen if needed, all the property is flawless, rooms are beautiful and it is very calm. The quarter is popular and charming, surrounded by all kinds of small local restaurants, out from the noisy Tamel, but not far from it, and at a walking distance from Durbar square and old Kathmandu. The pearl is the three stock roof top terrace, with a view of all Kathmandu and Muktinath, where you can enjoy beautiful sights from dawn to dusk. For us is a pleasure to return each time we pass to Nepal, having stayed already three times. A very enjoyable stay.

Shine Homestay’s strong points: - Quiet and safe residence - All I needed was within walking distances. - Amazing Rooftop to relax - Everything perfectly clean. - Nice modern furniture - Building well maintained - Reliable Wifi & fast for normal use - Good desk for laptop work. - Could park my rented bicycle in rown yard. - Good bathroom, sufficient water pressure. - Absolute good value for money Rabina is a professional host. Communicates clearly. Open minded character. Energetic person with a sense of humor, always willing to help. Both Rishi and Rabina thought about my needs and participated in advance. Bonus: within few minutes walk there is a very good gym and in 2023 a swimming pool will be added. Thanks for the memorable time at Shine Homestay, Rabina & Rishi!

A real pleasure to spend a few days with Rishi and Rabina. It’s simple, friendly, and they are always attentive to the needs of the people in their home. They often invite us to share tea or a meal and everything happens with kindness and good humor. The rooms are clean and there is a rooftop which gives us a superb view of the roofs of Kathmandu. It’s so much better than a hotel! Do not hesitate
