Absolutely wonderful experience. The owner and his family were extremely welcoming and accommodating, helping us with whatever we needed. Additionally the location is tucked away in a private location, with extra blankets and hot showers that were very much appreciated in the cold weather. Highly recommend!

Located in the small alley of Tamil district of Kathmandu, the hotel is old-fashioned, there is no elevator, carrying luggage on the fourth floor, the stairs are narrow. Because in the Tamil area, there will be construction sounds at night. The bathroom faucet leaked. Accommodation is small, the only advantage, cheap, and not comfortable, but can make do.

We spent some time there and it was very pleasant. Stuff is very friendly and the place has amazing atmosphere. They can arrange for you almost anything you want for very good prices. It's very calm place at the edge of the main area. Thank you

Great place. Great staff. Budget rooms are very basic but for 8 dollers, it is what it is. Staff arranged a great guide for a 3 day awesome trek and invited me to a rooftop BBQ on return. Guides and taxis are a lower price than other places i asked. Good breakfast. Highly recommend.

My stay with Prem Lama Tamang at Silver Guest House was a fantastic experience. The staff were excellent and super friendly. The hotel was in a great location away from the hustle off Thamel. The business owners on the street are all super chilled and friendly. One might when I could not sleep they stayed up chatting with me showing me the local music and made me a drink to help me sleep. Next time I come to Kathmandu, this is the only place I am going to stay. Prem Tamang and co, you are legends!

Located in the center of Tamil, not facing the street, quiet in the middle of the night, the room is clean and tidy, the bathroom is large, the rain is good, the western breakfast is good, the overall feeling is good, recommended!

I was in Nepal for a long time, so I was really happy to find a hotel at this price. The owner was very nice and the service was good. They also helped us get a taxi when we went out. The breakfast was good and you had to pay for it separately. I will stay in this hotel again next time. The hot water is very helpful. Qiang Lei recommends this hotel

We have now stayed at Karma Hotel Nepal several times and we will definitely stay here next time as well. It is clean, the beds are good, the water is hot and the facilities are top notch. The staff are helpful and very welcoming. It's a really nice breakfast and not least fantastic coffee. We really enjoy staying at Karma Hotel. We felt very safe during our stay. It is centrally located in Thamel, but still in a quiet neighborhood. Thank you for creating a safe and lovely 'second' home for travelers like us.

During our recent visit to Nepal, my husband and I stayed here on two separate occasions. The first time, we were on the 4th floor in the room opposite the staircase. We were booked for one night before going to Chitwan. It was clean, a little shabby, but comfortable. The bathroom was ok too. The guy on the desk then was very polite, welcoming and helpful. Our second visit was about one week later. The guy on the desk (a different one this time) was more hostile. We were put in room 'Chitwan' on the 2nd floor. This room was dirtier and shabbier than the last time (some of the bedding cleanliness questionable too.. we just used the other bed.) Bathroom was pretty gross'm- the toilet leaked. Slept well though both times. The second stay our room had several mosquitos that we had to try and squash before bed. No reports of bed bugs from us though. Could be a brilliant little place if updated and given a good scrub! Needs more thorough and regular cleans please. Cheap, but not quite cheerful yet.
