I stay here every year and they do a fine and consistent job of taking care of the group of fishermen I travel with. This isn’t luxurious but it is clean, ordered, quiet and has multiple pluses. The pluses are the lunch, dinner and bar facilities at Jeramiah’s, the downstairs breakfast restaurant is also superior and the shuttle bus to the ferry and town is great. Friendly and accommodating and reasonably priced. My only gripe is that smokers are a pariah at this hotel. I do not smoke but if you do you have to go sit in a dungeon in the open air parking garage. I guess they want to make you think twice about your bad habits.. But I will return as it is a very decent place for travelers to stay.

My husband and I chose Ketchikan for our anniversary/vacation. The staff at The Landing are friendly and ready to help. The Landing Cafe has awesome food and our best waitress was Merita. She by far has the best customer service and smile! We opted to clean our own room but were given supplies when we needed them.

I had a wonderful stay at The Landing! This was my first trip to Ketchikan and I selected the hotel based on a recommendation from the fishing charter. I'm happy to have picked The Landing for a few reasons: + Comfy and quiet: The rooms are very comfortable and it was nicely quiet at night, which I really appreciated! The bed and pillows are super comfy and I found the room spacious (double queen). The Kerig coffee maker was much appreciated and I liked having a fridge and microwave in the room. + Diner and restaurant: While I didn't try the upstairs restaurant, I had breakfast at the downstairs diner. The diner has a great vibe and really good food. The staff were friendly, chatty and REALLY hard working. My coffee cup never got past half full ! + Location: While it's a few miles from the downtown action, it's very close to the airport ferry. Also, there's a nice market within a two minute walk. They have a great selection of goods and produce along with a coffee and deli bar. I liked being able to grab some fresh fruit, healthy snacks, bottled water etc for the room so I didn't have to eat out every time. + Shuttle: The hotel has a free shuttle to take you pretty much anywhere in the city. I used the shuttle several times and it was so helpful. The drivers are wonderful and very giving of tips, ideas, places to go, things to see, where to eat etc. + The staff: Finally, the entire hotel staff is **great**! They were helpful and patient to answer all of my novice questions. While I had no issues during my stay, I believe the staff would bend over backwards to make it right. I had a great trip and plan to be back very soon for another fishing trip!

I can't praise this hotel enough! We left a cruise for the hospital emergency room with a lot of fear and uncertainty. The Landing only had a one room for one night, but they "juggled some things" and miraculously, I had a room for 5 nights, with assurances that if I needed more time, they would "figure it out!" The room was exceptionally clean, very comfortable and quiet...the perfect respite from the stress. The two restaurants were so convenient, welcoming (the breakfast server was always smiling and cheerful), with good food and reasonable prices. The shuttle scrambled all day to take me wherever I needed to go...the hospital (which is only 2 blocks away), and the airport ferry when my wife was released after 4 days. Although the hotel is not "downtown" there is a great grocery store and a pharmacy within walking distance, and the shuttle could get me anywhere I needed to go. Every member of the staff was very accommodating and helpful. If I could give this place more than 5-stars, I would! I haved stayed in top hotels around the world; The Landing is near the top of my list, not for its polished surfaces (like the Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong), but for its spirit and care.

This was my husband's and I first trip to Ketchikan, AK. We were picked up by the free shuttle to The Landing. Our flight plans had changed so we arrived earlier. When we got to the front desk, Myline checked us right in. Then about an hour later, Kaylie took us to Safeway to pick up a few items to bring back to our room. Overall, our experience was amazing. Both restaurants were a great experience. You will not walk away hungry. Our room had a beautiful view and we were able to watch ferries, sea planes, and the jets from the airport take off. A special thanks to the following people for making our trip magical and memorable: Kaylie, Myline, Dave, Thomas, Nadir, Murita, Cora, and Angela. You really went out of your way. We definately will be back.

Our plane was delayed so we missed the cruise mist. We flew into Ketchikan. The staff was great . They had a shuttle and they dropped us off or picked us up when needed. Went to the bar a little slow on service but rooms were cleaned.

Excellent hotel for a small town. This is a repeat stay for me at this place (Corporate booking) and again they don’t disappoint. I have stayed at other hotels closer to downtown Ketchikan but this is still my favorite. Rooms are good, clean and staff is very friendly. Two good restaurants on site. They do offer a free shuttle service to downtown and other places.

Everything we wanted: Easy access to the airport, A base to explore National Forest and the city, A car wasn't necessary. It's walkable from the airport ferry terminal with a carry-on bag but we opted for the free hotel shuttle since it was raining. The shuttle also has schedules for Ketchikan city and Walmart. The Silver Line and the Green Line public buses took us from Ward Harbor to Carianna Lake to Ketchikan city to Saxeman.

Room was clean they were able to get us checked in early. The shuttle services were nice and friendly, they have cold freezers for fish boxes that was a life savior. My only 3 complaints are they only put half a roll of toilet paper in the bathroom, 1 small bottle of shampoo and conditioner and there is NO a/c in the room and it was a sauna they told me they had 2 fans in the closet but that didnt help. I should add there were 5 of us myself, spouse and 3 children.
