Have stayed at Pier House four times over the past eight years. Property is feeling a little tired - in need of sprucing up.
Staff are still good but attentiveness has gone down - particularly at front desk. Bar staff were still terrific.

Location is great but it’s too overpriced for it’s worth and services offered. Exorbitant resort fee and additional charges but no services to match it. The beach they talk about is the biggest disappointment. There is hardly 20 feet in the name of beach which keeps getting seaweed and 80% of sand is occupied by permanent beach loungers. There in house restaurant is too expensive even for the other outside expensive places to eat. We requested a microwave in room by adding comments while making reservation. We did get reply they it’ll cost us extra but was not there in room when we arrived. So we promptly mentioned it and requested again. Again we were told there will be extra charges to which we agreed but it was never provided to us.
If you are going to stay here with kids, I would not recommend it.

I highly recommend this resort. The pool attendants could have been nicer. I actually had one guy make me carry the towels to our chairs and put the white covers on them myself. The bartenders were less than friendly and I even had to ask the guy if I could order a drink as he was chatting it up with his coworker. I will definitely stay again though as the place was clean and nice and very conveniently located to all the shopping/restaurants.

The Pier house was in the perfect location. It was walking distance to everything. The rooms were big and beautiful with a huge veranda. It was very clean and the best part was the small beachfront wich most hotels dont have in the keys. I would reccomend this property to everyone.

We had a 6:30 pm reservation and wanted to switch it to 7 pm. They said no. The restaurant was 90% empty the entire time we were there. I asked for a Cesar salad light on the dressing. He said he will put it on the side. I said I want it on the salad but light. He said he can’t do that. When I asked my friends if they mind going elsewhere the waiter agreed to light dressing on the salad. I asked for a side dish substitution- the answer was no. The food was mediocre at best. The service was surely and inflexible and slow. I would not recommend this restaurant that is long long over its prime.

Great location & beach! If you are a frequent visitor to high end resorts, this could be a little disappointing, but Key West is so laid back so I’m guessing this is just how it is anywhere you stay here. Minor issues: hard to sit on balcony because of the hot air blowing out from air conditioning in room, beach had trash & dead bird that I had to request multiple times to be cleaned up even though there is a beach attendant, ladder fell off platform in water when some waves came in, rooms could use some updating, & staff was okay but not luxury resort service. Overall, I will stay here again because it is solid for Key West. The beach & location can’t be beat!
