Hotels near Odemizu Spring Water, Kirishima

We decided to add on one night in Kagoshima prior to embarking on our second Yakushima trip. We did this specifically to try out Myoken Ishiharaso - while the ryokan is a relative unknown in foreign circles, the its prominence among Japanese folks as one of the top onsen and culinary ryokans prompted to extend our trip to try it out. We're definitely glad we did! First, the location - even though it's a mere 15 minutes drive from Kagoshima Airport, we felt like we were a world away; the ryokan is on the outskirts of Kirishima National Park, and is situated along the banks of the pretty and quaint Amori River. It's definitely a place you can easily visit from Tokyo or Osaka given its proximity to the airport, and feel like you're in an off-the-beaten-path destination. On the other hand, it's quite a ways away from Kagoshima City proper... if you want to see the sights (Sakurajima, Sengan-en, etc.) then you definitely should plan for a long day or spend two nights in the area. Note that check-in at Ishiharaso is 2PM, and you'll want to get there not much later than that, if you intend to enjoy everything that the ryokan has to offer. We stayed in a Suite in the” Ishikura” annex building called ”Kirara.” It's generously proportioned (85 square meters) and features a separate bedroom/living room/tatami room, and an open-air outdoor Onsen (natural hot springs) bath on the room's balcony. The added benefit of staying in an Ishikura room (and a handful of the top suites in the main building) is the fact that you can elect to have meals in your own room. We chose Kirara due to preferring a more comfortable (to us), Western-style accommodation - Kirara's bedroom has two double beds, and the living room is furnished with real sofas. Please note that in-room meals are served in the Tatami room. We really enjoyed the variety of Onsens that are available at Ishiharaso. The in-room open-air Onsen was awesome. It's different from many others in that it's full of Iron, and you can really smell it. Not a super pleasant aroma, but it's natural, and it's not overpowering in its aroma. What was impressive is the fact that it's not only is it of the ”kakenagashi” (24/7 constant free-flowing) variety, but the volume and force is unlike any other Onsen we've experienced. We could tell that they are close to the source, and there is an abundance of the hot springs water that Ishiharaso taps into. We also tried out several of the Onsens on the property, and they were all interesting in their own unique way. There is a pretty pathway along the river that leads guests to the main ”Daiyokujo” (segregated communal bath) that is large and indoors in a separate building that also contains a lounge/cafe. In addition, there are several outdoor Onsens scattered througout the river banks, including a footbath, a mixed-gender bath, and two private rental baths for couples/families/friends. I found this place when I lived in Kirishima Onsen Village and tried to move to another place. Check-in at 4 o'clock.. I arrived early.. I got off at the nearest train station and picked up the service later, 4 check-in was a bit late. Because it is a residential area, you can't see anything near Yokan. On the contrary, it is really quiet, so it’s nice to rest. There are too many kaiseki dinners, I did not apply, I only applied for breakfast. The breakfast time was really good, I looked at the scenery outside~~The hot spring was too slippery.. The stone was too slippery. I enjoyed the hot spring very carefully. The location is not very good. . Most Japanese people come here.. Most of the staff can only speak Japanese.. When you stay in a ryokan, please show the important content printed in English Thank you very much for taking care of me.

My sincerest gratitude to the professional service and helpfulness of the front desk staff in particular the Div. Manager, Mr. Atsuyoshi Kubota, who patiently search for available medical service during late hours for treating my wife's injury and also voluntarily arrange a staff to accompany us to the hospital. Ram Kumar, the accompanying staff, is instrumemental in our communication to the medical personnels and he is so kind to arrange late dinner for us at the hotel's discretion. They not only demonstrate the highest level of professionalism but also their genuine care of the well being of the customers. Once again, big big thanks to Mr. Kubota and his team of beautiful people. By the way, good breakfast and dinner, both in terms of the menu as well as service and venue.

I used it for a day trip bath. The hot springs are large and splendid. Sukayu Onsen Ryokan in Aomori is said to be a thousand-person bath, but it seems that more people can take a bath here. It is a huge hot spring similar to a gymnasium. There are various spring quality and you can enjoy it. There were various types of bathtubs. I didn't stay at the hotel, but it seems to be a hotel with a history. The garden was also magnificent. Kirishima Onsen is far from the railway station and the number of buses is not so large, so it is convenient to rent a car.

鹿児島空港からレンタカー利用３０分弱で到着しました。 ホテルは本館と別館に分かれてますが本館の方が吹き抜けもありゴージャス、別館はチェックインした本館フロントから３Fにある館内の通路を抜ける必要があるので少々面倒です（別館の方がランク下という感じ）。 アサインされた別館のツインルームは室内が長方形ではなく少々いびつな造りなので使い勝手は今ひとつだったというのが正直な感想です（ひとりでツインルーム使用なら快適だと思います）。 大浴場は本館の地下にあるので別館泊だと結構離れてます。雰囲気はスポーツジムにある大浴場風な感じだと思いました。受付でタオルが借りられるので部屋からは手ぶらで行けるのは便利です。サウナは狭くて３名入れば満杯という感じ、内風呂は熱めとぬるめの２か所ありますが一番気にいったのは体温と同じ湯温３６度の寝湯です。熱くも無く寒くもないのでずっと浸かっていれて満足でした。 脱衣場はスポーツクラブのようなロッカーがあるのですが宿泊者が使用して良いのか分からなかったので脱衣籠利用で済ませました（これについての案内が無いのが不親切）。 時間帯によってはスポーツ合宿でここに宿泊していると思われる体育会系の若者が入浴していることもあり、その時には混雑します。 部屋のテレビで大浴場の混雑状況が確認できるシステムになっていますが常時男湯は少々混雑、女湯は空いているという表示でした、ドーミーインチェーンのホテルも同じようなシステムですがロッカーの鍵がかかっているかいないかで判別しているようなのですが、ここは大浴場受付のスタッフが目分量で混雑状況を判断して空き状況を決めてるようなのであまり当てにしない方が良いかもしれません。 ２連泊して朝食２回、夕食１回（いづれも別館１Fのバイキングレストラン）で済ませましたがこれぞという売りの１品が無かったのが残念なところです。１杯ずつ作るお茶器は良かったので売店でお土産に購入しました（朝食バイキングは２日共メニューは一緒でした） 食事をホテル外で取る場合は徒歩５分ぐらいのところに『いちにさん』という黒豚しゃぶしゃぶやとんかつなどがありました。当方は近くにあるイオン内のとんかつ店『竹亭』のとんかつが食べたかったのでレンタカーで行きテークアウトして部屋で食べました。イオンまでだと徒歩だと１５分ぐらいかかりそうだったので断念した為です。 尚、コンビニは徒歩５分ほどのところにローソンがあります。 もう少し街中の立地だったらホテル外の飲食店巡りも出来そうだった気がしてます。 鹿児島空港から近い観光地だと霧島温泉郷を選択しがちですがたまにはこのようなホテルに投宿してみるのも良い気がしました。 機会があればまたお世話になっても良いと思えるホテルでした。

Sakura Sakura Onsen is a hotel located in Kirishima Taguchi, Kirishima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. It is characterized by natural mud hot springs. On November 14, 2021, I visited Kirishima Jingu shrine on this day. I drove from there and came to Sakura Sakura Onsen. The parking lot is very large. Arrived at the main building to stay this day. The interior feels like this. Check-in is done at the mother shop and moves here. The room is on the second floor, but there is no elevator (sweat;) I have a lot of luggage 々, because of the new corona virus, the attendant does not help, so it is difficult for the elderly. Stayed in room 213 on this day. It is a Japanese room with 8 tatami mats. The view from the window is like this. The facilities are refrigerator and hot water heater. TV and closet. Washroom. Toilet is hot water toilet seat. I came into the hot spring immediately. This place was characterized by natural mud hot springs and there was a mud pack. It became more beautiful (laughs). Going to the dinner hall. It is quite troublesome that hot springs and dinner venues have to go to their mother's house. It seems hard to rain or cold winter days. The light up is beautiful. Arrived at the dinner hall. It is a pot dish. It is said that it is a pig shabu. Chicken tick. It seems to be a black pig. Other sashimi came. Of course, beer was also a tight fruit. The next morning, I moved to my mother's house again. I went to the breakfast hall. It's cold on this day. After all, I get breakfast in the same place as dinner. A system that can choose natto in the form of a Viking. Is this a little higher than 13,000 yen? I checked out and drove ahead.

Located in the center of the city, Yamagata Ya, major supermarket and local supermarket are within walking distance, and there are many restaurants around the hotel and it is convenient. The building is clean and clean. The room is normal, but the bed and pillow were good and the bed was very comfortable. It was also good to have a backrest on the chair. The air conditioning was able to adjust the temperature in ０.５ degrees units, and the wind amount was adjusted at ３ stage. Also, Sakurajima wanted from the window of the room. Breakfast is a Japanese-Western Viking. There were not many types, but it was delicious. However, it was a pity that there was only one kind of bread and there was no yogurt.

Except for the compact room, everything else is satisfactory. The breakfast is very good, the hot spring is also good, there is a round-trip bus from the hotel to Kagoshima Central, the hotel departure time is 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour, and the departure time from Kagoshima Central West Exit to the hotel is also 20 minutes and 50 minutes every hour. The shuttle bus starts at 6 am and ends at 10 pm. The hotel is worth experiencing!

It is a business hotel located in the downtown Tenmonkan in Minami Kyushu, but it was only called ”Rem”, and I was able to sleep well as rarely for me to sleep until I was woken up by the alarm clock. The city trams and buses are running on the road right in front of me, but I didn't care about the noise at all. １ I had breakfast at the talis in the building because it was breakfast for the night, but it was quite well organized and substantial. I was able to choose from hot dog pancake toast.

Hotel is quite a distance from the Kagoshima station. As there were 4 adults, we decided to cab upon arrival. With 4 luggage’s it was abit challenging, 2L and 2M luggage sizes. Thankfully our cab driver allowed one of us to hold the lighter luggage in our lap and took us all to the hotel. Leaving we encountered a very rude taxi driver outside the hotel. He bullied us and took one luggage and put into his trunk. Signalled another cab to come pick the rest of us and literally threw our second luggage to the other cab. Shocked us. He insisted only 2 passengers and one luggage and demanded ¥1,000 fare not meter. Very very bad experience with Japanese taxi driver outside Kagoshima Washington hotel. Hotel wise staff tried very hard to converse in English and very helpful as we arrived on New Year’s Eve. Room was small and clean.
