We slept for 3 nights in the Lagoon Suite 206, right on the water and unfortunately also directly above a restaurant with outdoor seating. From 8 a.m. to midnight it was incredibly noisy and we couldn't enjoy the suite and the great view over the lagoon. Dear Turbine team: In the future, please warn your guests about this “noisy” situation in Suite 206 when checking in. You pay twice as much for a suite as for a room. Unfortunately, since the hotel was fully booked over Christmas, we had nowhere else to go.

Only stayed for one night whilst driving through Garden Route. The room was nice but nothing special; the bathroom was especially in need of redecoration/deep clean. The breakfast was good but service was slow. I tried to use the shower and there was no water and had to ring reception to find out what was going on and only then was I told there was a pause in water supply which lasted all night; I appreciate this can't be helped but at least communicate this to guests. I wouldn't rush to return.

This hotel is very different it is a converted forma Power Plant which took 3 years to convert to a hotel Located on Thesen Island great for a relaxing 2 night stay as part of our Garden Route road trip Staff were amazing and nothing was too much trouble We were even upgrade to a suite Used the Spa for an massage and my partner had a facial these were both very good and relaxing Breakfast was cooked to order and was fantastic no need for lunch There were also local restaurants within walking distance we ate in the hotel one night as we were very tired from a 5 hour drive from Hermanus I would recommend this hotel to all

What an awesome location at Turbine Boutique Hotel and Spa. Honestly, I could've stretched out our trip longer and remained there. The hotel is so unique as it is a converted factory, but when they remodeled and repurposed the space, they left a lot of the reminders of what the building used to do in the lobby and in the rooms. The onsite restaurants were great food and service that added little twists to old favorites. Everyone there was super friendly, helpful, and nice to be around. I would stay here again for sure!

Quirky hotel in lovely spot. Staff very friendly and attentive. Standard room a bit small. Food at dinner ok ( fish lacked seasoning) and breakfast service slow. Not much to do in the vicinity other than boat trips and buying clothes!! Worth a visit ? Probably.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Turbine. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast and dinner in the Cafe were delicious! We felt very safe in the neighbourhood. Wish we had stayed longer.

One of a kind hotel with exceptional decor. Two items on the breakfast menu really stood out, the Honey butter toast and the Totally nuts, definitely worth trying even if you are not staying at the hotel.

We loved everything in this hotel! The location is great - very central, quite and safe The breakfast was very good! We had a suite on the other side of the hotel by the water and loved the size of it!
