Hot spring Hotels in Koh Phangan District

I had a great experience staying at this hotel, which is conveniently located just a 15-minute walk from the port. The rooms were clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The hotel offers a shuttle service to the Full Moon Party, which made attending the event hassle-free. The beautiful nature surrounding the hotel creates a peaceful and relaxing environment. THE BEST HOSTEL I STAYED AT IN THAILAND. Apologies for shouting, but I had an incredible experience of staying in the Dearly hostel. Hostel/Dorms: I stayed for a week in a female dorm which I would recommend - sheets changed every 3 days, new towels available daily if needed, clean and nice smelling space, and comfortable beds that were not bunk beds. Modern and fresh decor with partitions between beds for more privacy. Such a simple and smart solution! Lovely and friendly cleaning ladies as well:)) The hostel itself surrounded by palm trees; I would definitely recommend to check out their common space on the 3rd floor (pictures attached). Shared Bathroom: clean, modern and nicely smelling bathrooms with shampoo and soap provided in the showers. Diving: I did the PADI open water course organised via dear hostel. As I was staying for a week the hostel offers a good deal for the accommodation combined with diving. The big advantage is a deep swimming pool at the hostel where you can practise diving skills before going into the open water. The swimming pool itself was great - they use salt instead of chlorine, which is both appreciated for the skin and hair. I would definitely recommend the diving instructor we had - Fam - who made us feel comfortable and ready to move from the swimming pool to open water diving. When speaking with other people staying in the hostel they also had a very positive experience with their diving instructors. Social: the hostel organised daily activities which were written on the blackboard in the lobby. I have not participated in many as I have been diving/studying for diving at the time, but it sounded like a good opportunity to meet other ppl. Personally, I made the most connections in my dorm bed and during breakfasts:) really great people and smiley faces with people wanting to be approachable. For partying we were going to the Sairee beach part of the island. This is not a party hard hostel, but it had a very good atmosphere of pre-drinks before going out and having a beer with some friends. Staff: very helpful, attentive and accommodating staff. Good email communication as well:) Breakfast: served 7-10 am; very useful to have it in the hostel when doing morning dives; everyday breakfast included toast, pancakes, fruit in coconut milk, and a rice/rice noodle dish. This was the first hostel breakfast I could eat in Thailand as I have food allergies and the rice/rice noodle dish was always very tasty. I recommended this hostel to three of my travel friends & all really enjoyed their stay here. For me, there is no other hostel alternative on Koh Tao ;) definitely will be back for another diving session! Thank you!

Going out of the back door of the hotel is full moon party Super convenient The restaurant in the hotel lobby is also delicious. And it's especially cheap There is a supermarket at the front door of the hotel, but he is not 24 hours. Two minutes walk to the main pedestrian street. The hotel also has a big pool and slides haha This location is super good It’s really super convenient to go to full moon. Except that it’s too noisy to sleep at night. The bathroom is really too small, the girl can't wash her hair But the room was clean, no ants and bugs. Book early, otherwise the room is still a bit expensive

Worst place I have stayed in 5 months of traveling. I am still in shock at the behaviour of the staff here, particularly from ‘Pu’. We were lied and threatened. Staff only care about money. The problems we faced in summary: •Many electric power cuts (obviously no one’s fault) •air conditioner not working when we arrived to our room •broken safely locks on inside of door of room •having to spent 2 hours of our evening until midnight having to wait for the air conditioner to try to be fixed, with no success. Air conditioner was still broken so then had to pack all our stuff very late at night to move. •Being lied to by a staff member called ‘kee’. We were told by a staff member ‘Kee’ on the phone at night we would have to stay in a very hot room and said we would have to wait until the morning. She told us there was no other rooms. This was a lie and not true as the maintenance man who came later said there was a room. We had to ask her again and again to call the maintenance man who she said had gone to sleep. Again this was not true. As he came back to help us move rooms. •Threatening and shouting from a staff member called ‘Pu’. In the morning we went down to reception at 9:30am as we had not heard anything from the hotel and we were unsure on the room situation and wanted to express that we were upset that ‘kee’ had lied to us but were thankful for having our room changed. We were told we had to leave by Pu as new guests were going to stay in the room we had moved into. We were offered only 500baht refund. When we had booked for 2 nights for a total of 3460baht. When we expressed we had no place to stay and we would like a full refund due to the air conditioning issues and having to pack and move. This is when Pu (the receptionist) became very defensive and showed no kindness or understanding that we now had no place to stay now. She even said we had to pack our bags in 10minutes time and leave, otherwise she threatened to take 400baht off the refund. She said that we had to leave before the official check out time of 11:30am because us being in the room is costing her money with the use of electricity. We explained we needed time to find another place to stay but she kept saying I will take 400baht off the refund. Pu would not give the refund until we had packed our stuff and got a man to check the room. They do not care about customers, it is clear they only care about money. Kindness goes a long way and they certainly do not have any.

Stayed here for full moon party. It’s the quieter end of the beach and staff shut the gate and remain at the beach entrance to ensure only those that are guests come in so don’t have to worry about lots of noisy people walking past your lodge. Bed was super comfy and rooms good size. Pool area has lovely view of the sea and we were always able to get a sun lounger. Breakfast was good and they do a free buffet on the night of the full moon party which had good variety. Favourite bit was you feel like youre in a forest even though it’s right at beach and this also means even though there’s other guests you actually feel fairly secluded and it’s very relaxing. Staff were wonderful and couldn’t do enough for you!

Insanely bad service. I booket 1x 1 Night for 2 and 3x1 Night for 2 in total from 19 to 23 july. I ask if we could get same room during our stay to avoid moving room the Day after and it was confirmed by the receptionist. Today they show up and tells us to move room or we have to pay more to stay in the same room. The hotel is EMPTY we are the only ones here but they dont Care. I also booked a room with 2 single beds and they start giving us a room with a double bed. We are 2 men aged 41 and 51. WE DO NOT SLEEP IN SAME BED OF COURSE. I have used ********** app for 5 years now and have over 200 nights booket in total, most of Them in Thailand and i have never in my 10 years travelling in Thailand had such a bad service at a hotel. I even wrote the hotel 2 days in advance to explain everything about our room and out stay. No reply. We were told when we arrived at the hotel there was free transfer from pier but how should we know when noone at the hotel answer our messages. This is litteraly insane. This hotel does NOT provide any service at all and the receptionist has a very unpleasant Way of talking and explaining things. Do not go here its simply not worth it and the Island is covered in hotels anyway

The location is, of course, magnificent. For a couple of days and evenings with their beautiful sunsets, you definitely won’t want to leave anywhere. Then you will probably need to take a proper swim. The beaches at the hotel are too shallow. At least that's what happened in April. And by noon the water was too warm and not refreshing. But on Freedom Beach, if you swim further from the shore, there are a lot of fish and corals. Although, I also met a huge parrot fish and a small shark in the shallows. However, keep in mind that to the normal depth you have to swim 150 meters above the cucumbers and hedgehogs, which is a little tiring. If you're looking for a snorkeling paradise, I recommend heading to Au Leuk Beach. This is where marine abundance begins almost from the shore. Moreover, to the right and left of the beach. And in the middle there is an excellent swimming area, with good depth and the color of the water is cooler than at Nissi Beach in Cyprus. As for the hotel itself, the bungalows are cozy and clean. No frills, but everything is laconic and modern. We were quite satisfied with the breakfasts and cuisine in the restaurants. The price of the hotel is small, but we did not regret the money spent. We spent a long time choosing a place on Koh Tao and were not mistaken. The staff is friendly and smiling. Even the already legendary chief administrator, famous for her cool disposition, greeted and saw us off cordially. It depends on your luck, apparently. One of the minuses that is worth mentioning is garbage on the hotel grounds, between stones and in other hard-to-reach and other places. Plus the shower at Freedom Beach did not work. But the local beauties cover even this. The sunset at Freedom Beach is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life.

Phangan Arena is an absolutely amazing, lively and fun hostel. One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. The rooms were really clean and comfortable. But the main thing is the vibe and atmosphere. This place is absolutely perfect as a solo traveller or a young traveller. The bar is open 24/7 and I met so many really cool, interesting and fun people from around the world. I'm honestly so glad I chose to stay here. It's all about the vibes, and the vibes are brilliant here. Such a good atmosphere of likeminded travellers, and such a great place to meet people. Honestly one of my favourite places I've ever stayed. I know I'll be back to Koh Phangan soon, and I'll definitely be staying in Phangan Arena Hostel.
