3-Star Hotels in Koh Phangan

Grab a coffee, this could take a while. Bed sheets were filthy and smelt like an old dogs bed. TV was an old tube type that couldn’t get channels (although brochure said flat screen with cable) The toilet was constantly blocked. In 7 nights (our length of stay) our room was cleaned once. So no drinking water. No toilet roll. No fresh towels. Our booking consisted of breakfast, but once was enough, only had half of what we requested and the staff were rude, so we ate in a bar up the road instead. The electric kept going off so no air con. They did agree to fix it but not until the following day! No hot water. Then we discovered the new villas behind the bar area, which is what we had in fact booked. We insisted we be moved which the staff agreed to, begrudgingly!! We get to our new room where there was in fact a flat screen TV but no aerial so unless you have your own subscriptions you are stuck with sky news! Bed smelt better but we woke up to an army of ants!! Location is perfect. That is the only positive I can give!! Extremely disappointed! I travel for a month around Asia every year, this is our 4th hotel this year and by far the worst I have ever stayed in. That includes the others I’ve stayed in over the years!! Booking.com should take some responsibility for misleading information!!!

This is the best hotel on the island 100%. Its located in Chalokum, which is 15 minutes from ThongSala but its the most convenient location on the cheapest side of the island. You can walk to 711 and about a dozen really good western and Thai eateries in under 2 minutes. Even vegetarian and vegan options. The pier is a 2-minute walk, they have a private beach and the pool is amazing. The rooms ARE HUGE and so cheap. I would live here if I could.

We booked 2 rooms at this hotel on the recommendation of a friend to go to the Half Moon Festival with 4 friends. The location was great with a pool in front of the full moon beach! Floating in the pool felt so good♫ However, I thought there would be a bathrobe, so I had to bring my pajamas. Amenities include only shower gel and shampoo. There were two bottles of water and a refrigerator. There is also an electric kettle to boil water. A deposit of 2,000 baht is required. I also want to stay at this hotel when I come to full moon.

I came to stay at Sunrise resort 1st time in June and recently a few day ago. I have to say that I am very happy with Sunrise Resort...lots better than I expected. Start from the location..which is right on Had Rin white sand beach. Good location for full moon party and of course very peacfull before and after. You can easy go down to the beach early in the morning to watch the sunrise and at night to see the moon and enjoy nice cool sea air with your favorite drinks. My room was nice& clean. i got my room on the 2nd floor both time....good ocean view and swimming pool. All staff from the restaurant / front desk /and beach bar are very friendly . All the boys and Pee Kul at the beach front bar are very joyfull. Pizza and cheese burger is the best ...Thai manu also good. Breakfast was good...I got chicken fried rice every morning...and of course you can chose another manu. Location of the resort is easy walk from Had Rin pier when you arrive the island. Around resort you can find lots of restaurants and lots of shops and lots of things to enjoy. There's also a few motorbike rental shops.. you can go places around Koh Pang Ngan easy . will definitely come back and stay again here.

I love this hotel. We always stop there. Cool pool, fine white sand beach. If you don't live in a full moon, then the music isn't really loud. Fantastic value for money for accommodation right on the beach. Each individual 'bungalow' is no more than 100m from the beach and they are all angled to give privacy from the rest of the hotel guests. Beach is stunning with good levels of privacy, and the sea is lovely. If you don't fancy swimming in the sea then there is also a swimming pool right on the beach. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the room was comfortable and the location was excellent, with the centre of town being only a 10-minute stroll away. If you are interested in hiring mopeds then the staff at the hotel have a contact that we used (cheap prices, ฿150 a day). Would definitely return!

Living in the opposite Koh Samui every time I come to Pakan Island, I will stay in the hotel almost 10 times. The hotel on this island is basically this style. Small but this hotel environment is really beautiful. There is a bar in the yard. The sea view is so beautiful. It is also a restaurant. The best and cheapest waiter in the same hotel is very kind. Every time we come, we live in this two-bedroom and one-living house. It is very convenient to bring children. You can also cook by yourself. Look at the photos.

Stayed here for 3 days, think it's family run lodge. The hotel room key was really a key, a big one. The door creaked when opening but overall the room was nice, amenities was good. When requested for a kettle, the kind old lady provided me very fast....very nice. Pity did not make use of the swimming pool as it was hot for 2 of the days there. A short walk to a food court nearby, Thongsala Square (where the race start)...and the Walking Street where they had a nice night bazaar on Saturday, pity it rained halfway. Also a short walk to Phantip Market area. But definitely need taxi to the site of Full Moon Party lol Yes, also had a lot of tour agencies just outside the hotel. And laundry services, I did mine at a cheap 80 baht...and it came back ironed and with a nice fragance ...Highly recommended. (ok, they do have some self service laundry too at 30 bht per kg??? but definitely not ironed??)

The hotel staff is very kind. The food was very fulfilling and delicious. Ideal for business or sightseeing alone. The hotel itself is at a high level and there is nothing to say.

Thankful that this property was available for us to book during the busy April 2023 Full Moon Party season. For a beachfront property with a swimming pool, I find their rates are super cheap. We arrived at noon time and we were allowed to check in immediately. Our room was spacious and came with a veranda. The place could be cleaner but it never got a point that we felt it was bothersome. Make sure your windows are locked! On our third night, we discovered our windows were unlocked from the get go but luckily all our belongings were intact. The staff were friendly and helpful. The resort is within walking distance to the Full Moon Party and Haad Rin Pier so that's definitely a huge plus. If you're planning to party and just need a decent and affordable place to crash, then this is it.
