The hotel is in a very good location, with a night market, small shops and food court right at the door. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. There are two floors in total, and the two rooms are very comfortable. There is also a swimming pool at the entrance, where children can play for a long time. 😁 The beach is behind the hotel, and the endless sea is very beautiful. There are not many people on the beach, which is suitable for vacation. Although there are not many choices for breakfast, it is relatively fresh and rich in fruits.

Check In asked us to go into the room and wait. In the room, I watched the workers combine the two small beds into one. The pillowcases are stained, the bathroom is tattered, the ceiling is stained, the towels are hard and torn, and the throat of the jacuzzi outside is broken or broken. The shower switch is broken. What I am most dissatisfied with is that I rate myself as a five-star hotel. This quality is proven by evidence and is not as good as a three-star hotel. Breakfast was all processed meat and finding fresh food was impossible. There is a statue of the landlord at the entrance of the hotel, and there is also a conference room with a Chinese name. It is estimated that the owner is Chinese. I paid two hundred dollars a night to live in this shabby and dirty room. I didn't dare move the curtains. I didn't want to be a human vacuum cleaner. I rented it for two days. As soon as I went in and took photos, I applied to change rooms or leave a day early. I was not allowed to change rooms and refused to leave. Basically, the employees were unhappy when they saw that they were Chinese. Is their boss too harsh? I handed the key to the waiter when I checked out, but he didn't say a word until I got the receipt... In fact, there are black shops all over the world, but this one is really a disgrace to the Chinese people. Please put away the Chinese characters and symbols and continue doing business. We came for the second time. We were a little disappointed: the villa turned out to be outdated and the toilet/shower, which was combined, was very uncomfortable. In addition, the bathroom has windows overlooking the pool and they were not covered with anything (there was no tinting film on one of them). There was a curtain, but it was extremely small and did not help hide the toilet from view from the street. There is not a single hook in the shower area to hang a robe or towel. But in the bathroom there are all the cabinets and a safe. That is, when someone takes a shower or toilet, there is no way to take their things (and I don’t like storing things in damp conditions). The door lock was rusty and it was very difficult to close it, especially since there was no lighting. In the evening it was a whole adventure: as soon as you took the key out of the device, after 5 seconds the villa plunged into darkness and you had to close the villa door, go up the steps in the dark into the courtyard and in the dark close another door to the courtyard. There were two sun loungers in the courtyard, but no umbrella or canopy to hide from the heat or rain. When it rained there was nowhere to dry things. About breakfast: you won’t go hungry, but there’s definitely not enough variety. There were very few Thai dishes to eat: an omelet station and sausages and muesli. Fruits: watermelon, pineapple, mango, unripe melon, bananas (alternated 3 types) The pool and beach were good. But there are stones right in front of the hotel...you have to move a little to the side. To order drinks on the beach you need to go to the pool bar (this is not convenient). Also, last year, in the evening, lanterns and poufs were beautifully placed on the beach, you could have a cocktail in a pleasant atmosphere... now this is not the case and part of the charm of the hotel has disappeared.

We upgraded our room to a hydro pool villa and it was fantastic! Made a lot of difference to our experience in Koh Samui. All thanks to Terry, who offered us an irresistible offer for the upgrade. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location in Lamai. The beach is fantastic and the sea, clean and clear. Very gentle waves, which made it great for swimming or just floating on your back. Terry was exceptional in his attitude and service, checking in on us every day to make sure we were comfortable and enjoying our stay. There are 2 things which I believe the hotel can improve on: 1. The hot food selection for the breakfast buffet. The fresh bread and homemade jam, as well as the egg station (the shakshuka is worth waiting for), and the variety of cereal were great, but the cooked food lacked variety and quality. Some Thai dishes didn’t look appetising at all. 2. When we were staying in Chaweng, the hotel staff there would set up the deck chairs at the beach with towels for us, and brought us complimentary glasses of iced water(without us requesting for them). It was a kind gesture very much appreciated, especially in the heat of a sunny day. That is what I call 5-star service- when you can anticipate the needs of your guests. Perhaps Pavilion Samui can learn from that. Having said that, we will definitely be back in Koh Samui again, and if we choose to stay in Lamai again, Pavilion Samui will still be our 1st choice.
