Tengu Onsen Asama Sanso

After enjoying the unjoyed spirit at Takamine Onsen, I extended my legs a little and stopped by this hot spring. It also serves as the trailhead for Mt. Asama, so it is said to be crowded with many hikers during the climbing season. Pay the bathing fee at the reception and head to the bathroom in the back. There are two baths, Mt. and Sora. Unfortunately, you can only use Mt. The dressing room felt quite small. And the bathtub is also narrow. It feels like it's going to be full if there are 4 adults. The dark brown hot spring is reminiscent of Arima Onsen, and the towel is also colored perfectly. The hot water is rich in iron, so if you take a long bath, you may get hit by the hot water. The bathing fee is 800 yen, which is a little expensive, but it was a good experience.

This hot spring inn is located at a dead end after climbing a little unpaved road from the prefectural road. I stopped by for a day trip bath. The spring quality is a simple iron cold mineral spring, and it is a heated hot spring. The color of the hot spring is dark reddish brown and it is quite nice. I think the color changes slightly depending on the time and season, but I felt it was one of Japan's leading dark browns. The scenery from the bathroom window was like a framed picture. The hot spring was warmed up quickly with hot water that felt the smell of iron. It was a very warm and comfortable hot water. It was a refreshing feeling with the blue sky outside.
