An excellent stay in Kota Kinabalu. My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our time here, largely in part because of the hotel. From the easy and friendly welcome at the reception, club lounge and restaurant to help from the travel desk, we received good service all around. The club lounge food while not varied, was good. I also loved the views from the rooftop bar. The pool looked to be a little dated but was still acceptable. The gym was well equipped! Unfortunately, I did not make a booking in time to try their massage services. Finally, the room was lovely. Comfy bed and pillows. The hotel is only 15 stories and we were on the 8th floor, while it's not very high the sea view was still gorgeous. Additional kudos, I appreciated that the laundry team could accommodate for washing of shoes as I had just completed the Mount Kinabalu hike. We made a spontaneous booking to Mari Mari Cultural Village and the travel desk service was really helpful in arranging our booking for the next day. All in all, a fantastic stay and I look forward to staying here again.

My recent stay at the Grand Hyatt Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the service was impeccable, with courteous staff ensuring a smooth check-in process. The hotel's lobby exudes elegance, boasting modern decor that seamlessly blends with classic sophistication. The room itself was a sanctuary of comfort and style, featuring plush bedding, contemporary furnishings, and breathtaking views of the city skyline. Every detail, from the high-quality amenities to the tasteful design, spoke volumes about the hotel's commitment to luxury.

all are fine except the parking fee refund that organize by Wilson company. im stayting from 24th-26th May 2024. until today 5th June 2024 i still havent got my refund MR235.60. the parking fee is using auto debit each time your going in and out from the hotel using car. hopefuly hotel management will tackle this issue ASAP

This is the first complaint review I leave while living in Kota Kinabalu for the past eight years. I booked for a sleepover party I made to celebrate the 16th birthday of my beloved daughter and friends. The connecting room, birthday decoration, and extra bed that the hotel specifically requested were not prepared, and above all, the smell of mold from the room was shocking. I am an asthmatic. I couldn't complain in front of happy children, so I had a terrible night. When I woke up in the morning, the children also had a hard time with the smell of mold. I felt sorry and ashamed to my daughter and friends. I talked to the staff about the situations while checking out, and they told me to leave a review. Room numbers 7331 and 7332 must be checked.

The Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort is an outstanding resort with exceptional service that leaves a lasting impression. Whether it's the reception or room service, they respond quickly to guests' needs and always with a smile. Secondly, the quality of the in-room dining is excellent. Whether it's breakfast or dinner, the food delivered to the room is not only fresh and delicious but also beautifully presented, making you feel genuinely welcome. It's particularly worth mentioning that I once accidentally left some items in the room. The hotel staff promptly contacted me and arranged to return the items quickly, which was very reassuring. However, there are a few areas where the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort could improve. Firstly, the hotel's location is relatively remote, making it inconvenient to hail a taxi, especially at night or during peak hours, which can be troublesome for guests who need to go out frequently. Additionally, there are some issues with the hotel's pool facilities. The edges of the pool may be rough, and I accidentally got a cut while using the pool. I hope the hotel can address this to enhance the safety and comfort of their guests. Overall, the Shangri-La Tanjung Aru Resort remains a highly recommended accommodation choice, particularly for travelers seeking excellent service and delicious meals. If they can resolve the transportation and pool facility issues, this would be an ideal place for a relaxing and enjoyable stay.

I stayed at this hotel for 6 days and 5 nights for both business and leisure purposes. The hotel's location is one of the best in Kota Kinabalu. On the first day, I was issued a room that did not match my reservation. However, the front office staff were friendly and very professional, and they assisted me in changing to another room. Unfortunately, the next day, I had to change rooms again due to a leaking air conditioner. It was honestly a very bad experience to have to change rooms twice within the first two days. Despite this, the Duty Manager, Mr. Bryan, was very kind and professional in helping me resolve the issue. I appreciate the Marriott's high standard of service. Overall, the stay was good, and the sunsets were breathtaking.

The room I will give 8/10 too old. The view from my room can't focus to sunset because too many trees, I think they forgot to trimmed but, it's okey. A bit disappointed about the food. the dinner in cafe bole. I ordered for lamb steak 80myr but very hard to chew 5/10 and the blackpepper sauce tasteless 5/10. The nasi goreng kampung too many sugar added haven't finished my dinner. The breakfast time, i cannot finished my dessert, my nasi goreng and the fried noodles. Overall for breakfast I give 7/10. Otherwise the staff very helpful and respectful.

Overall our 2-night stay at Hyatt Centric KK was comfy n relaxing. The lobby n top floor lounge ambience is excellent~feeling of calmness. Rooms are spacious n clean with beautiful sunset seaview. We especially like the bathroom with sitting bench~ a considerate design for guests who prefer to sit n shower. Restaurant staff were very well-mannered n helpful. The hotel is well located just opposite the Sabah Suria shopping mall, so it's very convenient if you wish to dine out or shop around…

After a long trip arrived at hotel and quickly signed in. We were upgraded to a fantastic room, however phone and TV not working but a great balcony view of the South. China Sea and to the left the jungle. It was lovely to sit and watch the various birds and fireflies. Malaysia Airlines had lost one of our bags and did not seem concerned however after no success we spoke with James at reception who soon sorted it out and it arrived at 9pm. One day wasted Thanks Malaysia Airlines. The next day we had a leisurely breakfast plentiful and good choices of Malay and Western. Very courteous staff. Saw our first monitor lizard and had a garden tour by. a very informative employee Roy. Decided against the nature walk as advised not much to see this time of year. Spent most the day on the empty beach ( Some jellyfish but otherwise a nice dip) and in empty swimming pool. 3 linked pools lovely and warm but needs some maintenance and jacuzzi not working. Only a couple of restaurants were open and although quality of food was good the menus were similar. On our last day we had a very good Chinese style meal in The Noble House (Only open until early evening). As with most meals we were the only ones in the restaurant. All meals were very reasonably priced. The advertised firefly. tour was cancelled due to low tide but Christina arranged a private trip to see them and also the proboscis monkey. Well worth it. . Points to Note Low occupancy with the majority of guests staying overnight only, meant we had pools and beach to ourselves and the restaurants were virtually empty. Disadvantage was that some restaurants. and snack places did not open. Lovely remote location fantastic view , beach and garden walks however nothing in walking distance of the resort so unless taking a. taxi or day trip would not see or meet other local people restaurants or shops. Note the hotel shop has very limited souvenirs and only a few crisps and drinks. We had a great relaxing time, the hotel needs some updating and maintenance but that did not affect our.enjoyment. Staff were helpful and courteous and room clean and well stocked with water tea and coffee. A/C fine. So if you want a relaxing beach and pool holiday with good food and when we were there tranquility we recommend Nexus. PS book trips at the hotel as the one we booked through our agent was about 3 times more.

Apartment-style, the room is very clean, easy to check in, the swimming pool on the 7th floor is very convenient, there are many places to eat downstairs, and it is also convenient to go to the surrounding shopping malls. More importantly, the landlord is very nice. Thank you very much. I will come to his house again next time. I hope there will be a discount. The photo is the sea outside the window
