After booking a room with a bathroom, a monk took us to a semi-underground room. It was so cold. He showed us the shower and bathroom in the corridor. We told him that we paid more to book a room with a bathroom, and he took us to find an old monk. Unless we were mistaken, none of their rooms had a bathroom. I obviously spent hundreds more just to have a bathroom in the room, and it was clearly written on the order. He asked me to contact Ctrip at his expense, and he also contacted the agent. It took about an hour and a half to figure this out. He took us back to the original room and opened the locked door (at first we asked him what the small door was, and he said it was a maintenance room). There was a dirty toilet and a sink that couldn't be smaller. Anyway, there are no hotels on Mount Koya. If you want to stay, it’s a shukubo in the temple. They are expensive and have poor conditions, so think twice.

I drove for three hours in the morning and arrived at Koyasan from Kyoto. The temperature on the mountain was 5 or 6 degrees cooler than Kyoto. We stayed at Huiguangyuan, a 1000-year-old Buddhist monastery. The temple has traditional Japanese-style rooms and beautiful gardens. The meals are Buddhist and vegetarian, and the service staff are monks, making people feel the Japanese Buddhist culture. The morning morning there was a Buddhist morning class and meditation activities. [Konoyama] On the altar, Kalan - Jingangfeng Temple - Huiguangyuan. Koyasan is the ancestral ancestor of Dongmi Mang, and was founded by the master of Hongfa in the 7th year of Hongren (816). Legend has it that the Master of the Seas was willing to find a lotus sacred place like Wutai Mountain in China to promote the Dharma. When the line went to Gaoye Mountain, a pair of white dogs and black dogs led the way. The Masters of the Sea followed them to discover the eight peaks around the Gaoye Mountain, so they were Here you build your own dojo, which has been passed down to the present. The altar on the altar is the center of the entire Gaoye Mountain, and it is also the place where the empty sea masters first built the temple. The Jingangfeng Temple is the largest temple in Koyasan. It was originally built by Toyotomi Hideyoshi in 1593, and was renamed as the King Kong Temple in the Meiji era.

Sufang is the most anticipated part of the formation of Koyasan. The so-called Sufang is actually living in a temple to experience the practice. There are more than 100 temples in Koyasan, and dozens of them are open to tourists.
It is different from the small Japanese-style houses in ordinary hotels. In addition to being located in the mountains, there are also practice experiences such as eating fast, morning classes, and copying scriptures.
In the morning class starting at 6:00, the sky was still dark. In December, Koyasan was already very cold. When I saw the girls next to me, they were very cold.
The monk's chanting calmed the mood. Around the lobby of the morning class, this temple is dedicated to the spiritual position of the people. Compared with the mysterious sense of religious rituals in Japan, and Japan with frequent natural disasters, religion seems more secular to ordinary people. It is noticed that when monks recite scriptures, the instruments used to make sounds are used quite frequently. This is probably why there is music such as Buddhist electronic sounds in Japan.
Zhaifan is quite exquisite. The combination of ingredients also takes a lot of effort. The monks do not eat meat and rely on soy products to supplement protein. The tofu made by Koyasan has also become a local famous thing. After breakfast, dinner is not wasted.
There is a public bathroom that can be used for soup, there is a public smoking area on the first floor, and a wine list is optional. Unlike the imagination before the visit, the monk who received our English communication was ok, warm and gentle.
Although Sufang's experience was more secular than expected, living in the headquarters held a good memory of the trip to Koyasan.

Although this hotel is far from the city, it is really friendly for self-driving travel. There are many parking spaces in the flat parking lot. It is a pity that the parking lot is all open-air, so the car will be very hot when the car is used the next day. Opposite the hotel is a large shopping mall, there are also game centers and mass-market shops. The standard room of the business hotel is large and comfortable, and the luggage can be fully opened. The bed is also very comfortable, and the sheets are laid out as the basic business hotel. Breakfast is buffet style, with a variety of Japanese and Western dishes, although the style is not very rich, but eat very happy every morning. There is a bus stop near the hotel, but it is indeed a bit far from the city center, but it is close to the airport. It is very suitable for travelers who plan to reserve time to the outlet. Have the opportunity to stay again.

I used it on a day trip, but it is a very conscientious and good facility that uses several hot water sources, which also has accommodation facilities. The management changed and was reopened. There are several source baths, so you can enjoy different spring quality hot water. Since we use an old sake brewery, it is a quaint building. The large communal bath is a little small, but it's fun because you can enjoy several spring-quality hot water. There are sauna, bedrock baths, in-house clothes, towels and bath towels, and 1000 yen on weekdays is a great deal. There are restaurants, souvenir corners, reclining, body care, footbaths, etc., so you can enjoy it slowly. The accommodation has an open-air bath in the room, so I'm glad that the price is reasonable. I think it would be nice if the restaurant had a little larger space for day trip users. But it's a very good hot bath facility.

On map it seemed to be remote from any subway station, yet the transport was easier than it thought to be. Taking Nankai Bus (Route 23) from Hineno Station to the last stop (Inunakiyama), the Inn is just right in front of you. Our stay was in the Japanese style room with private hotspring. Spacious room and tidy. The private hotspring tube is at the semi-enclosed balcony, and spacious enough for me to stretch and sit, yet still fully submerged in water. Dinner and breakfast were served in traditional “Washoku” style, which were great but the cuisine just might not be to everyone’s taste. Relaxing, quiet and private was perhaps the best conclusion of my stay, and yes, the private hotspring experience was phenomenal. Honestly a bit pricey, but definitely an enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

Hashimoto City? It is rude to say that it is unexpected from the ramen shop to the rotary sushi shop within walking distance, including the business hotel and the tavern in the premises, but the restaurant is arranged, and the location is quite good. There are also large baths, vending machines, coin laundry and happy facilities when traveling. I was worried that there were not many storage when I stayed overnight, but there were tables and sofas that I could work on a personal computer, so I could recommend it for business use. The staff was kind and it was a hotel that I wanted to use in Koyasan sightseeing.

Standard Japanese business hotel, albeit with an onsen and newer than most. Breakfast is adequate, with western coffee on offer. Location is not central, but within 10-15 minutes walking distance to Shimo-Isaka station, restaurants, and a supermarket. Not exactly geared towards non-Japanese travelers, since the staff hardly speaks English and the hotel information given is only in Japanese. Extremely satisfied with it considering the affordable room rate.
