Hotels near 2nd Street Kumamoto Kengun, Kumamoto

2023年11月に２泊しました。熊本駅から市電で15分（￥180）、空港バスで特快で40分（交通事情で差異あり、￥1,000）でした。いずれも通町筋で下車。新規開業されたばかりで、建物もきれいでホテル下は飲食店街になります。ホテル界隈にも多数の飲食店が軒を連ねています。３Fにレセプションがあって、アメニティはそこで自由にとります（歯ブラシ、ひげそり、ブラシ等）。貸しパジャマ￥200と有料ですが、とてもリーズナブルなホテルと感じました。連泊の場合はタオルのみの交換です。朝食は時間がなく利用せず、１Fの焼き立てパンを利用しました。また横にテラスがあり、写真の通り熊本城が一望できます。部屋はタイプが８種類あるそうで、今回は靴を脱いでフローリングの１Kみたいな部屋でした。デスクワークにも向いており、Wifi環境にも問題ありません。もちろんバストイレはセパレートです。お湯の出具合、バスタブの排水も問題なしです。ベッドは畳の上に布団が敷かれており、寝心地も抜群です。面白いのは玄関入ってすぐに洗面所がある点です。隣に鶴屋（百貨店）があり、お土産各種、食材調達にも不便は感じませんでした。熊本へお出かけの際はお薦めできるホテルです。

We stayed on the tour. The exterior is very clean after renewal. The interior is also around the restaurant and lobby on the first floor, and the front desk is clean. Especially the restaurant was not only clean, but the breakfast was very delicious with local dishes lined up. However, the rooms seemed to be under renewal construction, and the passenger elevator was dedicated to one construction. The guest room floor is that of a business hotel with a Showa atmosphere from the corridor. The room smells of an old hotel, from carpet to wallpaper, and you can feel the remnants of the time when you could smoke. You can see from the scratch of the burnt chair that it was a smoking room. The bathroom was the same as before, and due to the trap of drainage under the floor, there was a step of about 20 cm, and it was difficult to climb and down. And it's very narrow. The view from the room is that there is a highway on the river side, but the space is open On the other side, you can only see the closed hospitals and emergency stairs in old buildings. I think the river side is good if you stay. Anyway, it is best after the renewal is completed. The view does not change.

Location is unbeatable and it’s great I can park the car in the hotel with very reasonable charge. As a gentle note, hotel car park only accept cash on the ground level. The onsen is really good and open till mid night, which is great. The room is comfortable and clean.

I few steps away from the station. The building looks renovated from an older one by the inside facilities are up to standards. I always love the breakfast where they include local dishes and materials.

I stayed at the introduction of an acquaintance. It is very clean because it has just opened this summer. Security is also safe because the elevator does not move without the key to the room. Unfortunately, I couldn't see Kumamoto Jo castle from my room, but there was a table and chair on the rooftop, and I was able to enjoy Kumamoto Jo castle at night. The room is equipped with a lot of outlets and ＵＳＢ, and it is not troubled by charging mobile phones. The clothes in the building were unique. Laughs. It became a memory of the trip. The front desk was also kind.

This hotel was not smooth from the time of check-in. When I tried to enter the hotel tower parking lot by car rental, a taxi was parked in front of the hotel and I couldn't enter it. When I stop at the side of the taxi, the taxi driver came down and said, ”I don't put it because it is a taxi stand here.” What is the matter with the hotel guests who can't get a car in front of the hotel? When my wife asked me to go to the front desk, the tower parking lot is not currently used, so I asked you to park at １ 900 yen per night in the affiliated parking lot away. The display of the tower parking lot is ”full car”, but it is said that ”not full car” but ”not used”. Stop the car in the affiliated three-dimensional parking lot, pull the suitcase around 200 ｍ, and finally check in. The room was a corner room on the top floor. It was a little spacious room. The entrance is divided into toilets on the left hand, toilets and baths on the right hand, ２. It is good to be divided, but each door is not a sliding door, but it is not easy to use because it interferes. And, when entering the room from the passage, the whole room is dog legged to the right (the state spreading next to the right), so the cold air from the air conditioning blowout does not go to the right back It was cold in front of me and the back of the right was hot. Breakfast will be eaten at a tavern called ”miscellaneous fish shop” in B1. It was Japanese food without saying whether or not. In the content, there were spicy lotus roots and high vegetables, but there was no Kumamoto style, and it was an ordinary Japanese food. Tokyu Hotels are familiar and use in various cities, but it is subtle whether to choose this next time you stay in Kumamoto.

The hotel is situated next to a tram station but more importantly, within close proximity to Kumamoto castle and Sakura Machi, so sightseeing and grabbing dinner was no trouble. However, consider not travelling to this hotel with luggage on a tram since I found the experience quite gruelling. Trams in Kumamoto are not exactly designed for tourists carrying hefty luggage. The staff spoke very decent English in the realm of Japanese hotels. The rooms spotlessly clean and sizeable also in terms of Japan. The only downside is that there is no bathhouse but this is much compensated by the spacious bathroom with a roomy bathtub and a rainfall shower. All in all, the only thing you have to ponder upon is whether you would be travelling to this hotel with luggage on the tram. Otherwise, this is a perfect location to stay in Kumamoto! It was a awesome stay at Koko Hotel Premier Kumamoto. We parked our car at the multi story parking building opposite and just walk over with our lugguage. As I have already read some reviews in advance, we have no problem finding the hotel but I must say the sign board is a little not eye catching and can easily miss it. (can see my photo below). Everything is comfortable there and I just have to make space for my luggage opening which is not much of an issue. The location is so convenient and can easily walk over to the shopping area for our dinner with many choices. We enjoyed our stay and there is also drinks vending machine on the level we stayed. Will definitely recommend it for it super convenient location :) btw is near to the Kumamoto castle too!

This hotel is located within a short walking distance from the Kumamoto station. From the JR bstation exit it is on the left, just beside the Bic Camera store next. There is also a streetcar/tram stop so near the hotel which you can use to explore the city touristy spots! Shopping is convenient as the Kumamoto AMU Plaza (see another Review) is 5-mins walk away. The lobby is quite spacious and I quite like the intimate setting and lighting. Check-in was fast and 3 lifts serve well with travellers + luggages. The room design is quite standard and we have requested for x2 single bed, the room size is respectable. Noted that they're still using the physical hard key and not the keycard type. Hottel provided some amenities and complimentary bottled water in the room, sufficient for us . The Hotel is very into Going Green, there will be no housekeeping within first 3-days unless requested upon. This may likely be the model moving forward, to cut wastages. We had our breakfast at the nearby Pronto. The Kitaoka Shrine is just about 400 metres nearby, opposite direction of JR station so we recommend to drop by if time permits. A good stay experience. J
