Since it was Tamil New year on April 14th Thirukadiyur was packed with the holiday crowd so travelled on to Kumbakonam for the night stay...the place was terrible..bedspreads had stains... WC hadn't seen harpic for years ..wash basin was adjacent to the bed ..no trash can in the room...ugh......
