Kunming Day Youth Hotel (Nanping Street Dongfeng Square) Reviews

Horrible place to stay in! The hotel room looks totally different from the photos posted on Trip.com. This boutique hotel is located above a pub, and on the second floor, it is linked to a pool centre, which made the hotel very dodgy, unsafe and uncomfortable. Moreover, the hotel cleanliness is terrible, the table is dirty and dusty, the bathroom floor was wet when we check in. Also, we noticed several ***** **** and precaution items by the bedside (our room is a family room), it feels as though this hotel is not proper. What made things worse was a guy came knocking on our hotel room door approximately 15 minutes after check in (we 3 girls and did not request for any room service), which made us felt extremely uncomfortable that we decided to leave the hotel immediately and check in to another hotel. I would strongly recommend for you to consider other hotels instead.

Hotel was located in a convenient location. They were nice and gave us a free upgrade to the loft type of room. However as the ceiling is glass, it tends to get very warm in the room during the day, especially during the summer period.

The location is very close to restaurant and shopping street, the room quite big, good for packing on the last day of the trip. Carpet need to be replaced

Location was great. Reception Team helpful. Was next to a restaurant and a traditional chinese house which hosts many antique shops. Plus near some pedestrian streets. And interesting shopping. Great location also for sightseeing- for west hills and other sightseeing.

It’s in the Kunming city center. Convenient for everything e.g. tour, travel, city sightseeing, visit the Kunming Old Street (昆明老街), etc. Metro train service is easily accessible. In the night , varieties of local street food ( varieties of 云南菜）can get easily get. This hotel is the right place for travelers.

Comfortable, clean and pleasant hotel located a walking distance from the shopping district in Kunming. Very good location especially for tourists who want to spend more time in the shopping streets!

The location is very close to all the major shopping areas. There is central heating but not temperature is not too warm. The bedroom has a wall that shield you from the bathroom. Minor drawback is the electric outlet in the bathroom and desk area not practically located. The better walk to the hotel is from Dongfeng Guangchang metro station.

Nice room and near Nanping street . Just for non-local who book this hotel , their hotel name on signage is SUN HOTEL, make me wonder around for a while after reach entrance and luckily I enter their lobby and ask them about it using the trip.com voucher and navigation name . Clean and comfort hotel for solo traveller , and is cost-saving for me . Within few minute of walk to nanping street and metro station .

Great value with a great spot for drinks and to hangout next door. Highly recommended if on a budget or just want a good decent hotel. One negative is the room smelled like smoked when we requested a non smoking room.

The atmosphere of the rooms corridor/ lobby and room is not exactly great. Feels and looks pretty different from the web pictures. I will look elsewhere for this price point. Staff is polite though.

Room & toilet was spacious! Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially when we had issues with our payment method.
