Lavande Hotel (Kunming Gymnasium subway station) Reviews

A great hotel. Fabulous amenities. They really have thought of everything. Upon check in, we were served with hot towels; a nice touch, especially on a rainy day. We were also upgraded to a larger room with ample room for our family. This Lavende is located along Subway line 1, so very convenient for getting around with public transit. We mostly took DiDi (like Uber), and pretty inexpensive to get around to the old town pedestrian streets, especially with kids. The only thing is that the building is not exclusive to this hotel; it seems to be shared with a mix of businesses (and maybe residential?) However, it was very quiet and the elevator was pretty quick to get up to our high-floor room. We were at first concerned about security, but it wasn’t an issue in the end. Very safe and quiet. We also took advantage of the laundry room to wash and dry our clothes. They have separate washing and dryer machines, as well as detergent. All complementary. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful in planning our half-day trip to the Stone Forest. They recommended we buy our tickets at the park, which we did, and take the high-speed train to the Stone Forest town and then a DiDi, which we also did. Very quick and convenient. Highly recommend this hotel location & the hotel brand. Price is also very affordable. Very clean. Very comfortable stay.

Room is large & comfortable, though somewhat worn, floor uneven & carpeting definitely needs replacement.  Breakfast was better than average, coffee was available. There were construction noise across the street, starting early morning. Location is good, metro station is right at same block. Lots of eateries nearby.

Subway, Walmart, Convenient store nearby. Front desk service helpful courteous. Free use of washing machine and dryer.

Very spacious room located near subway station. We got room facing back from the street and it was very quiet. Breakfast had good selection. Bed was very comfortable and we had very good sleep. We made use of the free washing machine and dryer.

The hotel is new and the location is very convenient. Very short walk to the subway and about three stations to the downtown. There are few coffee shops and cafes that you can visit in the morning.

Clean, comfortable and tidy. The price is very cheap during the off-season. The service is very good. The parking lot is on the third floor below ground, and it is a bit winding to get in and out. After parking, there is a direct elevator next to it, which is very convenient to get things.

The overall feeling is very good. The lady at the front desk upgraded the room type for free and gave the child a breakfast voucher. The room is spacious and comfortable. Both parents and children are satisfied. There are many parking spaces, but the only small drawback is that the parking lot is a bit difficult to find. It is recommended to put a few more road signs.

Overall good! It is a very good choice to take children to play in the Army Military Academy and Cuihu Park! The front desk also upgraded to a parent-child room for free... It is relatively close to Kunming Old Street, and the Municipal Stadium Subway Station is at the door ~ I come to Kunming every summer vacation and plan to make this hotel a permanent hotel!

Very satisfied. Although it is a business hotel, the room is large, smart and smooth, and the mattress is especially comfortable. This deserves praise! I will stay here again next time!

The hotel is in a very good location, with a subway station just outside the door, making travel very convenient. It is also convenient for shopping and dining around. The location of the hotel is good, but the room is really small. The bathroom is also small. Our room is facing the road. I asked if we could change to the opposite side which is not facing the road. The answer was that the room type we booked is facing the road. Please explain it clearly in the description.
