Yijian Guesthouse(Yunnan Nationalities Village) Reviews

The hotel is nestled inside the street that leads to the Yunnan Nationalities Village. The taxi driver stopped roadside and a staff member came to pick us up in a shuttle. Check-in was easy and the hotel room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was included and they took our order the night before so that it was ready for us in the morning. The location was perfect as it was steps away from the Nationalities Village and an easy walk to the lake. There were plenty of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

This is a beautiful Guesthouse within the ancient village and right next to the Yunnan Nationalities Village. Taxis and Didis drop you at the gate of village but the hotel can arrange a vehicle to pick up you and your luggage. Even in the off season with many things closed there was still a few things to explore. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and looked after our family of 4. The amenities were very clean and well maintained. The guesthouse has very welcoming and homely. We would definitely stay there again.

The view of the lake was great, the staff were really friendly and helpful. They're very thoughtful and make an extra effort to accommodate your needs. Breakfast was decent and they kept asking if we'd like more. They've got a little shuttle that can take you to the front gate if you ask but the hotel is a 5 minute walk on cobbles from the gate. The only issues were that there was no laundry service (the closest place was quite a trek away) and its proximity to the nightly shows happening on the other side of the lake. The music in the evening is pleasant but gets more lively as the night goes on.

It is super quiet at night and the air is very fresh in the morning. The most amazing thing is the backyard. It is so comfortable to sit in the yard and enjoy the scenery while eating breakfast When we arrived, we called the store and sent a sightseeing car to pick us up at the archway. When we checked out, we were also sent to the archway. The service is really nothing to say. It was a homestay that did not disappoint on the first day of the May Day trip. The experience was great. I must come again when I pass through Kunming on my way back!

Facilities: Almost like a hotel, everything is there. The room is large and the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas. The only drawback is that the bathroom door is closed, which makes it a bit crowded. It may be due to the design, but it does not affect the accommodation effect. The main thing is that the mattress of the B&B is comfortable. I stayed for another night. The longer I stayed, the less I wanted to go home. Sleeping well is the key. Hygiene: The aunt cleans every day. There may be some dust in the details that need to be improved. Small flaws do not affect the accommodation. Environment: Close to Dianchi Lake, the air is good; at the entrance of the ethnic village, there was a bonfire carnival at night, which was very lively and popular; the B&B is on the street of an ancient town, which is good as it is not commercialized. The B&B is quiet. I came here to sleep peacefully because I was bored in the city. Hahaha. It's also convenient to order takeout if you don't want to go out. It's convenient to eat, drink, play and shop near 1903. Service: The lobby manager and the short-haired lady at the front desk are very enthusiastic❤️ The shuttle bus also sent us to the exit of the scenic area. The service is no less than those five-star hotels in Sanya and Macau that we have visited before. Hahaha. The main thing is that they greet us every day when we go out🙋♀️, which is very humane. Service is really the key factor in choosing a hotel. Just because there are so many people everywhere during the Qingming Festival, I chose to stay near Dianchi Lake with good air near my home for a few days to relax and improve sleep. It is really quiet. I am very satisfied with the service. The breakfast is very generous.

In the ethnic village, the service attitude is particularly good. For the first time, there is a car to pick up into the hotel. The breakfast is delicious. The room environment is very satisfactory. I will come again next time~~~

The Dianchi Lake is just outside the window. In the afternoon, I brewed a pot of Pu'er tea on the tea table in front of the window, sipped tea and enjoyed the scenery. The raw and cooked Pu'er tea bags given by the hotel are of their own brand and of high quality.

The B&B is in the ethnic village, and you can park with the parking ticket given by the hotel. Regarding the distance issue, I think it's okay, not as exaggerated as some reviews say. I called a store called "Qiaoxiangyuan" at the entrance of the ethnic village and waited for the hotel car to pick up the luggage. The delivery was also delivered to that location, which was very convenient. The room was clean and sanitary, relatively new, large in size, very quiet at night, and the breakfast was also OK, rice noodles + milk and eggs, delicious. The restaurant entrance is a small courtyard by the lake, the view is also very good, the owner and service staff are also very enthusiastic! It's very close to the Sea Stem Park from the B&B village. In short, it's a very cost-effective B&B!

I was a little worried after reading the reviews before going to this restaurant, but the actual experience was OK. The facilities are relatively new and clean, the service is not enthusiastic but it is OK. I mainly like the location of this restaurant. It is very convenient to go to Dianchi Scenic Area, Haigeng Dam, or 1903, especially the ethnic village is right at the door.
