During the National Day holiday, I brought my child to the hotel for hot spring bathing. Zhang Le, the assistant manager of the lobby, took the initiative to contact us and upgraded the room, breakfast and hot spring services for us. He was patient and thoughtful. The hotel room was clean and hygienic, which dispelled my worries and concerns. The room was spacious, and the child could do homework while we made tea. The outdoor hot spring pool was unique, and there was also a cave. There were also free fruits and small cakes for check-in, which made us spend a relaxing and comfortable holiday.

I like this store very much. Although the location is a bit difficult to find, parking is very convenient. There are parking spaces downstairs of the hotel, and there is no charge. I came here by motorcycle, and I have to take the subway to go to work the next day. The boss is very kind and took the initiative to take me there. He also said that he can call me when he comes back, which is really sweet! The quality of the room is also very high at this price, and the service of the lady at the front desk is very kind! This is really the hotel that surprised us the most. We booked this hotel temporarily because we had to catch an early flight. After we arrived, we upgraded to a parent-child room for free because we had children. It was very spacious and there was a small tent inside. There was a large ocean court and slide on the parent-child floor. The children had a lot of fun. We had a buffet dinner at the hotel. The strawberry cake was really delicious, sour and sweet. Thanks to Xiao Song at the front desk and the chefs at the buffet for being very enthusiastic. There were also service staff who helped with the luggage. The service was really nice.

The hotel is a bit far from the airport, but they offer a free pick-up service. You just have to call for them to pick you up and they can drop you off the next day at the airport. It is very convenient. I asked other passengers for help to be able to call in Chinese, because my Chinese is not good. But it was very easy in the end. The woman at the reception is very friendly, despite a very late arrival and she even called me in the morning so that I would not forget myself. The room is big, there are all the amenities inside and it is clean, good value for money. I highly recommend this hotel, I used it myself for transit and I do not regret it!

The main reason for staying at this hotel is that it is close to the airport. The overall stay experience is very satisfactory. DDexter50000I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel over the first week of September 2024 and I must say, it was an experience that exceeded my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was captivated by the hotel’s stunning aesthetic design. The blend of modern elegance with unique architecture created an atmosphere that felt both luxurious and welcoming.
The hotel is conveniently located next to a luxury mall with a supermarket in the basement where you can buy international groceries, pastries and fruits. Guests may also venture to other malls around the area or a night flea market that opens late into the night.
Buffet breakfast featured an extensive selection that included pastries, fresh fruits, pancakes, eggs cooked to order, and an array of dishes like congee with Yunnan spices. Food was good for a buffet spread, with staff ensuring that the buffet was well-replenished and clean.
What truly sets the hotel apart is its service. From the moment I arrived, staff was warm and attentive, ensuring that my every need was met. The front desk team was knowledgeable and eager to help. It was evident that the staff genuinely cared about creating a memorable experience for their guests.
Special mentions to Mila, who helped to facilitate the courier of my daughter's medicine, which I left behind at the hotel. Mila went out of the way to made sure that the medicine reached us on time. She kept us updated throughout the process. Communication was prompt and reassuring, which alleviated our worries.
Overall, I want to thank the hotel staff for making my stay a memorable one and I look forward to my return in future.

GGuest UserOverall, I like this hotel chain in general and would stay there again, both at this location and in other cities. This was not the first location for this chain that I have stayed at.
Location: The hotel is located in a fairly central location. It is very close to Green Lake, though you'll need a map in order to know that. It's across the street from a KFC, 711, and Starbucks, and around the corner from a Burger King. There are also quite a few shared bikes (both electric and not) available from several different companies in front of the hotel.
Amenities: Breakfast is available for an additional charge, and there is a laundry room. I used neither of these. The hotel room has a refrigerator and more than the standard two bottles of drinking water plus an electric kettle, tea set, two packets of tea, and some candy in a dish (that looked like it had been there for a very long time). This hotel chain is generally very good about giving you more water if you ask. The bed is very comfortable, the tv is huge, the shower is hot with good water pressure, and the room is clean overall. There were ink stains on the sofa, but no problems with the bedding. Some of the furniture/walls were starting to be in need of repair, but it's not a problem unless you're super picky.
Safety/Service: The front desk staff are always very nice and helpful and willing to answer any questions that you have, but you'll need to speak Mandarin or have a translator handy. English is limited or non-existent. I felt safe in my room, and I didn't worry about leaving things in my room that I generally keep on my person in other hotels. The maid was also very kind and helped me when I saw her in the hallway and asked for help with a small problem (that was totally just my ignorance and too embarrassing to mention!).
WIFI: Wifi is available, but there is no information about the network or password in the room that I could find. I went down to the front desk and the woman there put the password on my phone for me.
Quiet: Well, there were some very loud and very rude guests staying in rooms near me. I don't know what the hotel's response would have been as I didn't all the front desk to complain. It definitely could have been quieter. There was no noise from outside the hotel, though.
Problems: I stayed at this hotel three nights total but two times (one night at the beginning and two nights at the end of my trip). My second room at this hotel (when I stayed for two nights), there was a blinking light inside a grate in the ceiling that can only be seen when all the lights are out. It was really bothering me, and making it difficult for me to sleep. I called the front desk at approx. 12:30 in the morning, and they didn't quite understand my problem (completely due to my sub-par Mandarin), but they sent someone to take a look. The maintenance guy who came said he knew exactly what I was talking about once I pointed upward. He didn't need me to turn off the light and show him. He said there was nothing he could do. If they turned out that light, I would have no electricity in the room. He also said that it's like that in every room. I didn't remember seeing it in the first room I had stayed in at the beginning of my trip, and I also didn't remember it from when I had stayed for three nights at a different location. Whether it really exists in every room or not is here nor there, though it ought to be obvious that a blinking light that doesn't turn off when you turn all the lights off is a bad idea, and something ought to be done). It is possible that it exists in every room but that it's not visible from the bed in every room due to the placement of that grate.

GGuest UserLove everything about Mengjing Xiyue Hotel .The room was incredibly cozy & clean. There was even phone cables provided in the room. All the staff were polite, friendly and very helpful. There were several
choices of breakfast to select from. Healthy night sweet soups were served and delivered to room from 8pm onwards. Hotel also gave a little gift when we checked out. It was not easy to locate the hotel initially as it is somewhat hidden but once you know its location, the hotel is really convenient. There are shopping malls & food street nearby. Look forward to returning in the future.

The staff at the Mercure Kunming were friendly and attentive, providing a high level of service from the moment I arrived. They were helpful in arranging transportation to and from the airport, which added to the convenience of the stay. Check-in and check-out were smooth and quick, which I appreciated given my tight travel schedule.

CChouchouniuWe booked 2 rooms for this trip. The homestay is in the villa area, close to the north gate of the Dianchi Lake Cableway. You can see Dianchi Lake when you walk out of the community gate. The rooms are fully intelligent, clean and hygienic. The proprietress's hand-brewed coffee is very good, and the taste of the private dishes is also superb. I will choose her home again next time I come.

- cheap and convenient postcards for sale in the lobby to send home or have for a keep sake
- rooms have sufficient amenities
- food and drink option variety and affordability
- excellent location near cuihu (pretty lake district with good food options nearby) and the kunming laojie (old street)
- some basic things like water and convient noodles are sold at fair prices at the front desk
- information about tours and travel available in the lobby
- elevator available to access most rooms, though some stairs will be necessary in the lobby
Cons:
- some of the weekly events didn't seem to occur at all
- cleanliness wasn't perfect: some areas of the cafe have lots of flies and some parts of the room, such as the bathroom, had a bit of grime
- peanuts on a caesar salad? no! (I'm allergic to peanuts and didn't think to ask if they put peanuts on a caesar salad because it just isn't normally done)
- the prepaid breakfast options are too limited. some additional options for what toppings could go in the noodles or what fruit or jam you receive with the western breakfast would help a lot
- quality of some food items are just so so
- occaisionally a little noisy in the rooms (but that's just because a group of kids stayed nearby + it's a hostel so it's almost to be expected)

SSUMINWe are from Lijiang and are going back to Thailand. Stop over at Khun Ming for 1 night, choose a hotel near the walking street, surrounded by shopping areas. Coming to the hotel is easy, you can take the subway from the high-speed rail station, Line 2, Kunming Subway Station, pass 3 stations, change to Line 3 at Dongfeng Square Station, then continue 1 more station, get off at Wuyi Station. Exit this station and find a shopping area. Walk 2-300 meters to the hotel.
There are 2 medium-sized bedrooms, and the bathroom shares a door. It's quite stiff and doesn't move very well.
If you don't think too much about the quality of the room Selecting a location first is still acceptable.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a great location, right in the city center, not far from Nanping Pedestrian Street and Cuihu Park, which is very convenient for my travel. The boss's service attitude is also very good, kind and gentle to others. Great! The bed is also very comfortable to sleep on, and the decoration style is also the type I like. There is a North Railway Station next to it, and there are three subways, which is convenient to go anywhere. I will come to this hotel next time.
